About this house rental

Tippy Cottage is a premier, Lakefront retreat nestled within the shores of Tippecanoe Lake, an “All-Sports Lake” in Leesburg, Indiana. This bright and cheery 4 bedroom, 2 ½ bath newly renovated cottage includes a main level open-concept consisting of the living room, dining and kitchen. The main floor has two full bathrooms with laundry and two bedrooms. On this level, the master bedroom boasts a deluxe king-sized bed, walk-in-closet and private deck with views of the lake to enjoy your morning coffee. The bright and sunny second bedroom features a queen and full futon. The delightful kitchen has sliding glass doors that leads you onto a screened in deck that will provide a nice spot for the early riser, outdoor eating or to simply enjoy the lake views and wetlands. The lower level features access to the large, flat front yard and has a family room, half bath, efficiency kitchen and two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed with views of the lake and the second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. Tippy Cottage has its own private pier to secure your own boat if desired.

There are three marinas on the lake with full boat services with boat rentals available. In addition, you have access to a public boat launch. Oswego Minimart/Cafe is 1 mile away. Fifteen (15) minutes to grocery and retail shopping in Warsaw and North Webster, Indiana. Delicious dining experiences are within 10-20 minute drive. 3 miles from Tippy Winery. A little over an hour drive to Notre Dame University. Less than a hour from Shipshewana , Shipshewana Flea Market/Auction and Amish country. Other summer activities available are The Lake City Skiers Ski Show in Warsaw, Indiana and the Dixie Sternwheeler Indiana’s oldest stern wheel boat in North Webster, IN.

We chose Tippy Cottage because it was close to the wedding venue of one of our sons. Cindi was great to work with & promptly responded to messages. The cottage is very well appointed - lots of kitchen utensils, towels, pots & pans; plenty of bath and beach towels. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have 2 family room areas with sectional seating. We used the pack-n-play and high chair for our grandson - was nice nice to not have to bring those. We would love to stay again!

This was our second stay. Like our previous stay, our host owner was extremely responsive to questions I had about the property. She was also very helpful in making sure my elderly dad is safe and can easily get around. The fishing in the lake is also very good, and especially in the bay the house is located in. It’s a great property run by excellent owners - we’ll be back again in the future!

Old friends of 70+ years (yes, that’s 70+!) had a delightful stay at TIPPY COTTAGE. It’s a beautifully sited, immaculate, spacious-yet cozy- home on the water. We enjoyed a campfire, many long discussions on the screened porch, restful sleep (very quiet), and lovely dinners at restaurants on nearby lakes, only 10 minutes away. We also met the owners who were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and would love to return.

If we weren't out on our boat, we spent most of our time out in the screened in porch. The home was roomy enough for 6 adults with room to spare. We liked that this home did not sit right up against neighboring homes and it had a large outdoor area and fire pit. Cindi was prompt to address any questions or concerns. We brought our boat and 2 jet skis. Lake Tippecanoe is a great water sports lake.

Great quiet location and very clean well stocked house. Perfect yard and fire pit with a dock. Pictures do not do it justice - plenty of room for 11 of us. A few packing tips: nothing lacking inside the house - lots of towels, blankets, pillows - fully stocked kitchen. You should bring whatever outside yard toys and floats your groups wants. Yard is perfect for throwing a ball or playing bags - just bring your own! We hope to be back!

Our kids and grandkids really, really enjoy our stay at Tippy Cottage!!! The cottage is just perfect for our situation and the weather was much better than our first stay(October). The place is in excellent condition and the setting couldn’t be better. The kids and grandsons did some fishing, relaxing, s’mores and more, just perfect. The owners are terrific folks, friendly, quick to respond, just awesome people.

We stayed the last week of August. Hosts were great. Fire pit and view of lake is awesome. Great morning walls around the lake. We biked some and rented a pontoon from a nearby marina. Very quiet area.

This is the second year we have been able to rent Tippy Cottage and have booked it again for next year. It works well for our family. The nice grassy area with a large shade tree is a wonderful place to play yard games and sit and watch the activity on the lake. The hosts are very friendly and live close by.

This cottage is just off the channel to Lake Tippecanoe--so you have the quiet view of the smaller lake and are 5 minutes away from big lake fun! The cottage is well equipped and our family had a great time. Easy parking at the pier, especially loved the fire pit and the screened in porch. Xtra table and chairs provided was so nice! Bob and Cindi went out of their way to make sure their property worked for my elderly father who has mobility issues. The property was great in all respects. The location on Lake Tippy was also perfect - allowed for easy access to the entire lake with our boat. We will likely be back in the Fall!

The Tippy Cottage is a great retreat! Great location with beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need for cooking, if that's what you want to do. The owner met us at check-in and showed us around and how to run things. I just can't say enough about how clean and fresh this place was. The owner was quick to respond to all of my questions.
