The Woolshed and Farmhouse Blue, Bruny Island

The views were fantastic and a short stroll to the private beach from the accommodation. We were able to experience farm life interacting with farm animals, especially sheep where they came so close to us when we called out to them. The kitchen facilities and pantry were great and the owner was generous to provide lots for or cooking.

Overall is generally clean but a little more attention to cleaning away spider webs will be good.

Rural setting with sheep, a horse, goose, chooks, and a very excitable dog. The horse, Ant, was very friendly. Host was great and easy to contact. The accommodation was rustic but that is what we expected, it was comfortable and had a lovely fireplace to keep us warm. Bedrooms all had comfortable beds and extra hot water bottles and blanket if we needed them. Views and beach were amazing!!

There was nothing we didn't like.

I loved the rustic, unique homely style of the property and its farm setting. The water views and the walk through the sheep paddock down to the beach felt uniquely Tasmanian. The art, the lambs‑wool hot water bottles, the wood fire, and the outdoor bath on the deck made the chilly nights incredibly cosy — our short stay was a highlight of our whole Tassie trip.

For anywhere on Bruny Island make sure you BYO food, drinks etc.
