Es Chalet

The chalet is nice, lovely Menorca style and decorated with some style. The owner is a very nice lady wanting to make the stay as pleasurable as possible. Location is beautiful, near the water.

There were cockroaches. When I asked for the exterminator to be arranged as quickly as possible the contact person/manager told me this was normal and that no other customer complained about this. He was unacceptably rude and shouted at me via a voicemessage on the phone, telling me I was looking for problems and yelling I could leave if I did not like it. He was very disrespectful and chauvinistic. I contacted Booking to intervene, but the property never responded to their request. The owner (the manager never apologized) did come however and arranged for the exterminator to come a couple of days later. Dead cockroaches kept on appearing during four days afterwards. It was disgusting. Also I noticed several things being broken or dirty (water boiler broken, washing dryer broken, washing machine door unhinged, dangerous lamp near bed with broken wiring, dirty pots and pans in cupboards, dirty bathroom sinks. There was an extra cleaning after the cockroach extermination, but in more than a week after no more cleaning, so I decided to wash the towels myself, and clean. Especially for this price range very disappointing. The owner is a very friendly lady, and I hope she will find someone else to manage this property.
