Shellona Rooms & Apartments

The property is in a very good location, with many restaurants nearby. The restaurant were we took breakfasts were near the hotel right on the beach. Staff was very lovely to us. Delicious food in SanPiero!

For €160 per night, I think the hotel should improve some of its facilities and services. Firstly, breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:30. On two days we had boat trips and the bus was waiting for us at 8:10, so we had to eat breakfast very quickly, in about 10 minutes. It would be much more convenient if breakfast started a little earlier. Secondly, if you come for breakfast around 10:00, the choice of food is already quite limited. Some of the better dishes, especially the pies and pastries, were eaten very quickly after the restaurant opened and were not sufficiently replenished. There were also no bathrobes or slippers in the room, which I would normally expect from a hotel in this price range. The towels should also be replaced, as they seemed quite old and worn out. Another issue was the lighting in the room. It was not very comfortable for relaxing in the evening. There were no bedside lamps, only rather bright white lighting, which made the atmosphere less cozy. The bathroom tap was constantly leaking, and during our 10-day stay the water marks around it were never properly cleaned. There was also no proper wardrobe or enough storage space for clothes, which was inconvenient, especially for a longer stay. Another thing I did not like was that even hotel guests had to pay €20 for sunbeds at the restaurant/beach area. Considering the price of the accommodation, I think it would be a nice touch to provide sunbeds free of charge for hotel guests. Overall, the hotel has potential, but for €160 per night I expected a higher level of comfort, attention to detail, and service. If the night would cost 70-80€, I recommend staying here!

Everything!

Brilliant location right next to the beach. Close to the strip, but we couldn’t hear any of the noise. The bed was super comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nothing.

The deluxe seaview/seafront rooms are amazing, they’ve done a beautiful job with these, and they are the closest you can possibly stay to the waterfront. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The included breakfast at San Pierro is very nice and very close, and the dining room is ‘open air’ right on the beach.
