Clean.
Too far from Canal City and requires to walk (1/4 mile) to nearest train station. The hotel did not have any pointers how to use the City buses.

Value for money, it was clean and everything worked. Key pickup was clearly explained.
One of the steps, leading to second floor, has damaged trimming and can be a trip hazard.

The place was so close to everywhere we needed to get to and was the perfect size for us with a great view and cute little balcony. When we had a question, we messaged and received a very quick response.
We weren't prepared for stairs, so taking our luggage up and down was frustrating, but it was worth it so we would do it again.

Pleasant room & neighbourhood.
However, as we were charged 3 times the normal price, owing to Golden Week, I thought it was fair to give a review in line with this charge...see negative comments.
It was fine as an inexpensive stay for a couple of nights.
Things which we would normally expect at the price were lacking: no where to hang wet towels, no lift, no means of heating, no information as to local eateries, some windows without blinds therefore letting in early morning light, no provision for storing luggage.
