Great weekend getaway!

The location is great, it is secluded and very peaceful. We did get to see the deer roaming around throughout our stay. The property was wonderful and we had plenty of room inside and out. Rosie (host) was in contact with me a few days before my stay and was responsive when I needed her. The hot tub (kept temp at 80 for evening use) and the pool were perfect for this Texas heat! Kitchen had all the appliances I needed.

The place is not as close to the water as I believed it to be so we did not have access to the lake from the home. We were able to walk to the water through a brushy path behind the home, but even when we made it to the water it wasn't an area for swimming. We tried the nearest park but they were only allowing camping access (no day use). The place is older but in good condition. I was nervous about the window units but they did their job. We followed Rosie's instructions to avoid a freeze up and they were sufficient.
