Meunna Boutique Hotel

As a solo traveller this has been one of my most enjoyable stays. The staff were brilliant, kind and very helpful. They booked my train ride to Vang Vieng for me and were always friendly. The breakfast was very good and the pool was fantastic. The location was perfect. Close to cafes and restaurants and only a 15 minute walk to the banks of the Mekong. I highly recommend Meunna Hotel.

My room had an air conditioner and fan. Tea/Coffee supplied. Free River Cruise for stays over three days. Good breakfast choices.

1. Construction work opposite the hotel…so a very noisy breakfast. NOTE: Rooms are super quiet as the construction happens at the front of the hotel. 2. Would prefer if Booking.Com deducted the cost of the room upfront.

The staff at the reception were extremely kind and helpful. They really went out of their way to assist me with everything I needed. The hotel also offers free bicycles to get to the city center, which is very useful since the hotel is a bit outside of town. They also changed my room after I mentioned that the first one was very dark and facing directly into the wall of the neighboring house, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, even after the room change the situation was not ideal. There were an incredible number of mosquitoes in the room. In three days I wasn’t able to get rid of them. Because of that, I didn’t even use room service since I was afraid they would leave the door open too long and even more mosquitoes would get inside. I honestly don’t know if there was some kind of nest somewhere, but I’ve never experienced anything like that before. In addition, there was a strong sewage smell coming from the drain, which made it difficult to breathe at times.
