Villa Roost- Be Our Guest

Great stay. The place is clean and owner is very nice. We had a great time. I’d suggest putting a drip coffee maker in the unit for those of us that still want a pot of coffee rather than the Keurig. We would stay here again.

We’re actually from the area and decided to come back and visit for a few weeks and Villa Roost was seriously perfect for my little family! My 1.5 year old loved the yard and how much room he had to just wander. Super close to Walmart, like a minute drive. Thank you, Dale and Penny! We loved the property!!

Large property with plenty of parking and had a carport that we could put our boat under. Close enough to Norfolk Lake and shopping. Would stay again next time in that area.

It was perfect!

We text the owner for a code to get in and he allowed us to check in an hour early. When we showed up the trash cans were full of trash. I text the owner who was very responsive. I put the trash out on the curb for them since Tuesday was the pick up day. Which, I didnt mind doing at all. When we opened the house it smelled of mothballs and the hardwood floors were dirty. The temperature was difficult to adjust so the house was to hot most of the time. The bedroom space was big which is great but the mattress in the master was hard and we stuck to the plastic mattress cover. So we didn't get much sleep. Then the hot water in the bathroom sink would not get hot. The hot water in the shower came on pretty quick but the bathroom and kitchen sink had to run for 5 to 8 minutes in order to get hot. The water heater is outside in the shed along with the washer and dryer and you have to ask for a code to access. We went out for a few hours the next day and when we returned the house smelled of sewer. When I texted the owner he said sometimes that happens when the gas heater kicks on because the house is so old. He said to feel free to adjust the temperature if we wanted to and the smell would go away in a few hours. We left again and when we returned that night tge smell was gone. There was plenty of space for our pet to run and play in the back yard and there is a fenced area out back that has a patio and chairs that was a nice place to relax in the evenings. There was plenty of couch space in the living room and the wifi worked great for watching TV. The owners are very nice and responsive but I don't recommend staying here more than for a weekend getaway. We stayed for 2 weeks.

All as described and worked great for my visit with family and doing some hiking in the area. Very convenient to town and country. Dale and Penny were great communicators and hosts, especially when the super cold storm of Christmas 2022 hit! My pooch and I loved having some open area behind the house to take short morning walks.

House was cute and convenient to everything. Owners were very responsive. We would stay here again.

House was perfect for our trip. I was able to park my boat under carport. Walmart and restaurants just minutes away. Short drive to the boat ramp also. Had plenty of room inside and we slept well. Great communication with host. Would definitely stay there again.

We travel as a family quite a bit and we sometimes do tourist trips and orher times do fishing or camping. This trip was a fishing trip. Could have easily been agreat tour trip as Mountain Home has much to offer. Villa Roost is one of the most cozy, clean and comfortable places we have stayed! The hosts are absolutely the best we have worked with. So friendly truly care about how your stay is going. This is not a Fancy place but is absolutely wonderful for family. Lots of room outside and open living area so that you can spend time together. Can’t wait to get another trip there! Fishing for us was great! Literally minutes from everything but quiet and peaceful! Thanks so much for having us!

My husband and I had a lovely stay Villa Roost! It was beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great location to town.

The owner is nice and has great communication with you. The house is nice but has a strong moth ball smell. You eventually get use to it. We had to rewash everything when we got home. It has a nice gated area for your dogs but the patio door is immovable. The washing machine did not work and there was a bit of a bug problem but the owner did offer to have it sprayed. Internet was spotty but all in all, we’d stay there again.

We would definitely stay again. Mr. Dale is always available to communicate with.

We were there for baseball and the property was located close to the field. It also was close to shopping and dining, but felt like we were in the country. And the fur baby enjoyed the fenced in back yard.

It was close to restaurants and shops. In a short drive, you can be by the water. The hosts are warm and welcoming.

This home is perfectly located and extremely comfortable. The host is incredible. We stayed with our dogs while exploring the Ozarks and it was an inviting home to return to at the end of the day.

The property was fine, but our largest concern was the animal(s) in the walls and ceiling. We arrived after dark and couldn't really see much until the next morning when we let our dog out. It was then that we saw the live trap in the backyard pushed up against the back of the house. We weren't sure what was lurking around...a racoon, skunk, opossum? Something worse? At one point my husband was on a zoom meeting and the people on the other end could hear whatever was rustling in ceiling. It was creepy. I kept thinking whatever it was would drop in through the ceiling or crawl through the wall. Some explanation prior to checking in would have been appreciated. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I think there are plenty of other options to explore in the area.

We loved this property. We were in town for a fishing tournament with our son. The house was wonderful and a great location in the town to local stores. Our family plans on staying again in this house the next time we come to Norfork Lake. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The location is great! It’s on the outskirts of Mtn. Home by Walmart, but it’s only a 5 minute drive to everything else in town. The house has a lot of space and a big living room. We brought my dog and he loved the yard.

Great property, Dale is always a joy to work with. I’ve used this property frequently for guests and he is always quick to respond and to fix issues, if there are any. Great place to stay in Mountain Home.

The property has a lot of land around it which makes the patio a private and pleasant place to watch birds in the morning and deer in the early evening. The listing says the property is air conditioned, and technically it is. There are two wall units in the living area that keep that area very cool. However, the cool air does not reach the bedrooms which were very hot and stuffy. The owner responded quickly and brought us several extra fans and they helped but weren't able to make it as comfortable as we would have liked. We were there during August when the weather was particularly hot. If you go at a different time of year, the AC may be acceptable. The owner was very accessible by text or phone, and very accommodating to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

Location is amazing, close to main stores, roads and still very peaceful. Lots of room for parking. Friendly hosts. Grass was up to my knees upon arrival but was cut on the third day of my stay. Nicely decorated home, however many of the decor items had to be put up high due to littles ones. Some spaces were very dusty such as closet shelves, under tables and beds, etc. Overall, I would stay here again!

Overall, this home worked well for what we needed. The convenience of being in town and close to things was great. The home was thoughtfully decorated as well! I would say the upkeep of the yard and maybe an additional A/C unit in each bedroom would be helpful.

Very comfortable 2 BR/1Ba home - very cute decorations and lovingly cared for. The porch is a great place to sit and sip coffee in the morning. We saw several deer, which made our dogs’ day! Would definitely recommend for families looking for a comfortable stay with easy access to town. Will definitely stay again on our next trip!

We enjoyed staying at the Villa Roost. The location was great and convenient to everything. Dale was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed.

The location was convenient to shopping and restaurants and definitely a plus.

Had a short stay here with the wife and I, Accommodations were acceptable, air conditioning could’ve been better for sleeping but other than that it worked for what we needed it for. Property manager was very nice and went above and beyond to accommodate us and any of our needs.
