'August Schmidt' Fredericksburg Cottage w/ Hot Tub

Too dark and gloomy

Felt like home away from home! The host was extremely friendly, quick to respond to inquiries, and made sure you were comfortable. It was conviently close to Main Street. It was cozy, relaxing, and the decor was so cute. The hot tub was a bonus. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

Nothing that I can think of. It was perfect for what we were looking for.

Beautiful, quiet, country atmosphere. Lots of wildlife/livestock within view of the cabin.

We loved this cozy little cabin for our anniversary getaway (and weekend away from the kids!) Although it says "no wi-fi", the cell service was great so no problem there! The cabin was warm, clean, and well-stocked with everything you'd need for a short stay. The hot tub was a great amenity, too! The property is private and quiet, and just a short drive into town. Parking was easy and we were emailed the gate and front-door code so there was no problem getting in. The Guest Contact, Mike, was super friendly and stopped by shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was okay. He provided a couple of restaurant recommendations, but then gave us our privacy for the remainder of the weekend. We felt safe and knew he was there if we needed anything.

Honestly, nothing! The cabin was warm and welcoming when we arrived (lights on, heat on) and everything worked well and was clean. The decor is dated, but it goes with the farmhouse-vibe and everything was clean. We'll be back for sure!
