Average stay in Meursault.

We stayed at Huttopia for 5 days at one of the houses with overview of the vineyards. It was very nice location walking distance to mersault city center and driving distance to many places in Côte d’Or. the chalet is small but has the basic equipment that you need. We stayed with a dog and the place was dog friendly. However there were some downsides that were not mentioned in any of the reviews or policies.

1. Their “standard” cleaning fee is a whopping 75 euros. It is an optional fee but you would have to do all the cleaning yourself. However, since the check-out is so early (10 am), and we had a long ride ahead we had no other choice than to pay it. Also, considering you bring your own towels and bedsheets that price is only for room cleaning. That is very expensive for 30 sq m house and again…you have to do it before 10 am checkout. You might not get your 90 euros for cleaning deposit back if I your cleaning is not up to their standard. 2. The pet surcharge of 5 euros per day is also disproportionate since it does not go towards extra cleaning. 3. Bring your own fan if the weather is hot. The chalets are not equipped with any ventilation and it can get very hot. 4. There is no sound isolation in the place so if there are people talking in any of the rentals you will hear it.

Good

Very nice location and during the hot days a pool was a very nice option. Nearby there are many wine tastings and restaurants. The spot is very clean and staff is friendly.

Very small rooms. Because of a tree near the house it was very loud in the evening and at night. Too many extra costs such as bed sheets, plus a towel pro person and a cleaning fee if way too high ( 90 EUR). Overall the price including all the extra costs is more than average.

Breath taking scenery

Excellent chalets that are small but have everything that you need. My small children loved playing on the terrace. We have already booked to return.

The fact that you have to bring your own bedding and towels and that you also have to clean the chalet when you leave are not at all clear when booking. There is also a fairly large deposit to pay. There needs to be complete transparency regarding these points at the time of booking. Luckily it didn’t put us off our stay and the next time we will be better prepared.

Personeel was dit keer niet heel erg behulpzaam. Dat is wel beter geweest. Centraal sanitair is echt aan vervanging toe. Komen er al een aantal jaren en dat kan eigenlijk niet meer.

Séjour très agréable au calme

Super plek - lees wel in concept

Locatie was geweldig met uitzicht op de wijnranken. Mooi concept met veel verschillende soorten hutten. Veel te doen in omgeving. Staff behulpzaam.

Als je voor de eerste keer Huttopia boekt of nog niet bekend met het concept (of niet goed leest) dan is het een verassing dat je voor veel los betaalt. Handdoeken, beddengoed, finale schoonmaak, etc. Kortom zelf mee nemen of voorbereid zijn op extra kosten maken. Dan is het alsnog prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding maar wel goed om even te weten. Chalet zelf is prima, geen meter te veel, maar je leeft vooral buiten en dat is heerlijik.
