At the Beach - Muizenberg

The view was phenomenal, and the apartment was nice and clean

Not a thing!

The handover was way above expectations. Shannon communicated directly with me prior to our arrival and, after initially allowing an early check-in based on our flight timings, readily changed to meeting us much later in the day, after our original flight was cancelled by the airline. This would undoubtedly have messed Shannon about but she met us with a smile and gave a very thorough and efficient handover, ensuring that we were happy with everything before leaving us to it. Outstanding service! Everything was provided for a short stay - dishwasher and washing machine pods, fresh milk, fruit, rusks (which our son loved), sugar, tea bags and coffee (both instant sachets and pods or the Dolce Gusto machine), even a Soda Stream machine. These were much appreciated, as when only on a short break, particularly when arriving by air, it's a faff to have to shop for these things when only small amounts are required. Clear instructions were left for everything and all tubs and containers were clearly labelled. There were plenty of towels for the bathrooms and also beach towels. Nice touches like this make travel easier - we had bought beach towels with us but hopefully this helps anyone reading know that they can travel light, assured that this place provides everything expected and more. We loved the location of this place - right on Surfer's Corner, with fantastic views over Muizenberg Beach. During April 26, there was construction work ongoing along the promenade and beach. Shannon informed us of this immediately after booking and gave us the option to cancel. We're glad we didn't though - the work only happens during daytime, it didn't detract from our enjoyment and Muizenberg will be all the better when it's completed. There's an update folder on the project in the property, along with lots of other tourist info. In short, this place exceeded our expectations, so thanks again to Shannon, cleaner Elsie and all involved.

The only small point we noted during our stay was that the extractor fan in the ensuite of the double bedroom was quite noisy and, as it came on with the light, would've woken the other person if one of us had put the light on to go to the toilet during the night. It wasn't a huge problem (we just used the torches on our phones) but Shannon checked in with us to make sure all was ok so we mentioned it then. Shannon thanked us for the feedback and assured us she'd have it checked after our stay - I have no doubt that she will have done so. We stayed in April, when temperatures were in low to mid twenties, so the lack of air conditioning wasn't a problem for us. Fans are provided but it may be worth considering this if booking during summer months.

The location is fantastic just across from the beach .

Nothing all was great! We would just recommend having some board games for adults to play via admiring the view!
