Lovely riverside hotel and restaurant on the edge of town

The hotel was in a good location and the room was very comfortable and well fitted out. It was very easy to find and only a short walk in to the town.
When booking I was not told that all the facilities in the hotel would be CLOSED. I picked this hotel so that, after a long journey my wife and I could have a drink and a meal in the evening without leaving the hotel. When we first arrived we had to wait for staff to come to the hotel before we could actually get in. It was then that we were told there were absolutely no facilities available that day. If I had known this before I would have stayed elsewhere.

Close to the motorway and the village , easy parking nice garden and really spacious

Parking in the grounds directly in front of the hotel.
I received a message during the day today that the hotel was closed on Mondays and gave me directions to obtain room key. No problem except that there were no services at all on a Monday, couldn’t get water or anything at all.
