The Lakeside Caboose - Oregon Beach Vacations
Welcome to The Lakeside Caboose, located in beautiful Rockaway Beach! Nestled in between Lake Lytle and the Pacific, this bright and airy cabin was historically the last house on the edge of Rockaway's city limits, inspiring its name, The Lakeside Caboose. The home sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms downstairs (King, King w/bunk beds, and a Queen) with two full bathrooms. Upstairs, you will find an inviting open space with amazing views of the lake to the east and the ocean to the west. The kitchen and living room are also located on the second floor, with a half bath tucked off to the side. The cabin was completely remodeled in 2019 but still retains some vintage charm with a 1950's era stove in the farmhouse-inspired kitchen. We have binoculars available for whale watching, or you might even spot the resident Bald Eagles that nest on the far side of the lake.
While staying in Rockaway Beach, be sure to get out and explore the shops and restaurants located right off of Highway 101. You'll be able to find the perfect souvenir for friends and family back home. You can also explore the beach or go fishing in the lake, so bring your fishing gear! Travel north into Seaside, and explore the beautiful boardwalk, or travel south into Tillamook for a tour of the factory where they produce delicious dairy and beef products. You and your occupants agree to abide by all applicable parking restrictions and limitations. No boats, buses, campers, recreational vehicles, personal watercraft, wave runners, or trailers, regardless of any type or size, may be parked at the Property. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the parking.

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. It offers lovely views of the Oregon beach and is just a two-minute walk from the beach, making it an ideal place to stay for anyone who wants to be close to the ocean.

Great place close to the beach! Well stocked and clean with space to relax between beach trips. I would add that it’s close to the highway and train tracks, so that can be loud. I would also suggest a longer welcome mat as we did drop the key through the porch a couple of times and had to crawl under and get it. Charming vintage cute and perfect for staying in Rockaway.

Overall a nice weekend getaway. Upon arrival the house smelled musty. We had to open all the windows. While it does have new floors and paint the furniture is dated as well as the appliances. The fireplace is a plug in electric feature and did not work for us. Great views of beach and lake. Easy to walk to beach. Cute town.
