Villa Antonia

Wonderful house with lots of amenities. Was Very comfortable designed on a European quality standard and perfect for a vacation. The pool is very amazing and also the area around is very awesome.

The stay was okay overall, but there were several things that made us felt uncomfortable. The cameras were located outside the house to monitor the surrounding area not inside the property itself. However, their placement felt invasive. There were cameras behind the pool area near the boat dock, and through an opening in the hedge they appeared to face directly toward the terrace doors. In the bathroom, there was a window with blinds but above it was another uncovered window where cameras outside were also visible. I see that owners want to protect their property but I believe that the location of the cameras could have been chosen differently as it creates a feeling of being monitored during the stay. Another unusual aspect was the strict electricity policy. Guests are only allowed a certain amount of energy usage per day and any additional usage results in extra charges. Never had that before in the US and also not in Europe. We also found it unreasonable that guests are required to wash the towels before check-out or otherwise face an additional penalty fee. Overall, these rules and the amount of surveillance made the stay feel less relaxing and welcoming than expected as it had a bad side taste

Before we left, the management showed up to inspect the property. We followed everything on the instruction and kept the properly sparkly as it was before so we expected this would be no surprise. However, the management said we also need to clean the grill after use or be fined for $50. No only to scrub the grill surface, but also clean up the metal between the grill and the fire thoroughly. I've never heard of such unreasonable request before, including other Cape Coral vacation rentals. It's not mentioned in any instruction/contract and felt like a scam. Plus, the price we paid to booking.com already included cleaning fees. Did they just expect they don't have to do any cleaning after our stay? I refused this request. The management said they will sort it out with the owner so didn't charge me at the end. But it still feels weird and worth mentioning.

Cuando llegue el código de la puerta estaba incorrecto Pero en el momento me enviaron otro y así pude entrar

Demasiadas cámaras en la parte exterior que también miraban para el shower del cuarto master ,,,me di cuenta cuando me estaba bañando que vi las 3 cámaras por la ventana ,,y tuve que tapar parte de la ventana con una bolsa de basura por dentro del baño… y yo y mi familia consideramos que dentro de la propiedad pudieran haber más ocultas …
