A group of 11 of our family enjoyed the beauty of the area from this super central location! Plenty of private space and bathrooms to accommodate and the kitchen dining and sitting areas were great for all of us to hang out after the day’s activities! Enjoyed the d day sites but also the quaint villages and seaside towns including port en bessin. Make sure to also go to Bayeux to visit a really amazing city and maybe catch the farmers market! Truly loved our stay

The property pictures online were taken many years ago and don’t reflect the house as it is today. it was very tired and in need of a total deep clean, the place was filthy. Furniture, curtains, towels, bedding all need replacing. Mould on some walls, dirty lights, cobwebs everywhere, the place is in a general state of disrepair.The garden, trees, hedges and bushes are totally overgrown making difficult to park and blocking light into the house It could be a lovely place to stay but as a family of 14 we were extremely disappointed in the very poor standard of the accommodation and would certainly not recommend it to anyone

This house and quant town were perfect for us. The house was clean with plenty of space, Damien and Valery made the check in and checkout process easy which was much appreciated. We spent most evenings enjoying the many cafès, restaurants and shops around the Marina, which is just a short walk from the house! We would highly recommend this place!

A perfect house for large groups of friends or families. A well equipped kitchen, excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. The lockable utility/laundry room was perfect for our bikes,including power points to charge the batteries for the e-bikes.

Our family (3 generations) celebrated Christmas here - there was even a Christmas tree up in the living room! The kitchen was well equipped for making Christmas dinner and there were plenty of dishes for our group of 11. The teenagers enjoyed playing the piano and pool. The host met us upon arrival and took the time to show us around every room and answer any questions. The place was clean and had a much needed washer and dryer, as we had not gotten our luggage yet. Conveniently close to a grocery store, a Catholic church, and restaurants near the water.

The house is large and worked great for the 8 people we had in our group. We never felt like we were on top of each other and the big dining table was wonderful for meals. We had 3 cars which were easily parked on the property. The location is fantastic! A 10 min walk to the port and the Sunday market was wonderful. Super easy to get to Bayeaux and all the Normandy locations. Pictures are so important when renting a VRBO and I believe the photos in the listing were taken many, many years ago. They didn't reflect the actual condition of the house and furnishings. The couches in the living room and TV room were covered with throw blankets, buttons were missing from pillows and the magazines on the bookcase were 20+ years old. The wooden table and chairs in the garden weren't brown wood anymore - everything was weathered, gray, splintery and in need of sanding and refinishing. The lack of attention was also reflected in the coffee pot that took an hour to brew, the hairdryer that gave off sparks when you plugged it in, the wobbly legs on the bedside tables and the broken chairs. Even the liquid hand soap was so watered down that it wasn't even soap anymore. The whole house could use a thorough, deep cleaning. If you're a family with kids, this would be a great place. For a group of adults, it was OK but not up to normal VRBO standards.

We had a wonderful time in Port-en-Bessin. We would recommend this town and this house for any holiday with a large family. The house was perfect for our 3 generational family. We got to see where my father in law landed on D-Day.

This was a perfect place for our 2 wk. family getaway. It is in the heart of the Normandy region and very close to D-Day beaches and other interesting and important historical sites. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. It is spacious and the yard/gardens are lovely. The owner was accommodating and quick to communicate with us. Port-en-Bessin-Huppain is a great little town to explore. The house is in walking distance to everything in town.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Port-en-Bessin. The property and facilities were excellent for all ages (1-60!) with plenty for everyone to do. The kids all enjoyed the trampoline in the garden and the adults enjoyed the pool table and large spaces for relaxation. Communication with owner easy. The only minus was that the wifi was not working throughout our stay.

Close to downtown, close to Normandy beaches, and surprising delight--three houses from the best restaurant in Normandy! (If you stay here--you must eat dinner there!!!! Can't remember it's name, but between house & information center and has a number in its name.) Many comfy beds, big home. Could use a spoofing up in cleanliness and there was no breakfast provided other than packets of a biscuit. Family enjoyed for its roominess and comfort.

This house is just fabulous. Within a 5 minute walk to bars, restaurants and supermarkets as well as the sea. We went as a group of 12 for the 78th anniversary of the DDay landings and this house is smack bang in the middle of everything. The house has all the facilities you need with a great socialising and lounge area with a pool table and bar. The dining table is huge and great to catch up around. The kitchen has all that you need with plenty of space with a large fridge and separate freezer, coffee makers and utensils. The garden has everything you need with a great outdoor dining area and BBQ. Upstairs the layout is great with all the bedrooms having access to adequate bathroom with piping hot showers facilities. Matresses are really comfy with 12 x separate beds. Spotlessly clean and would highly recommend this great property

Très jolie maison, parfaitement aménagée et vraiment agréable. Vraiment optimale pour un groupe car il est possible d’être tous ensemble mais aussi de se séparer grâce à diverses pièces plus isolées. Je ne trouve qu’une chose à redire c’est le matériel de cuisine qui est obsolète (plaques et four, couteaux...). Côté vaisselle c’est super.

Tolles Haus, enorm gross! Viele Räume, so dass selbst bei schlechtem Wetter (hatten wir nicht) 10 oder mehr Personen sich nicht stören. Billiard, Bar, separates Fernsehzimmer, viele Schlafzimmer mit jeweils getrennten Bädern, schöner Garten mit Trampolin etc. Tolle Lage, Bäcker, Cafés nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß am Hafen von Port-au-Bessin entfernt. Normandie (D-Day Museen, Strände, Caen, Bayeux etc. gut mit dem Auto erreichbar).

La maison est spacieuse et confortable, avec une grande pièce de vie ; le coin repas avec son bow-window ne démérite pas à côté des autres pièces. Les chambres (literie excellente) ont toutes une salle d'eau. La météo étant de la partie nous avons pu profité du barbecue mis à disposition et du salon de jardin également disponible et installé sur le terrain, ainsi que du trampoline pour les enfants. Nous avons également profité du port et de son marché le dimanche matin, accessible à pieds. Le propriétaire est très arrangeant quant aux horaires de départ et Valérie, la personne qui gère la maison, est très serviable et disponible. Tout a contribué à ce que nous passions un excellent week-end dans cette grande maison accueillante. merci encore. Je recommande cette adresse. Christiane

La maison en vrai est 10 fois mieux que sur les photos. Nous y avons séjourné un weekend de Juin entre amis. On étaient 16+3 enfants. Les équipements sont parfait pour se détendre et s'amuser entre amis (Billard, jeu de société, jardin, barbeuc,...) les enfants ne sont pas en reste, ils ont une salle de jeu et un trampoline dans le jardin. Très bien située, ni trop proche ni trop loin du port. L’accueil est très bien et Valérie est top (disponible, attentionnée et serviable) Franchement, on est unanime, il n'y a aucun défaut à cette maison pour les voyages en groupe.

Super déco, maison moderne, hyper propre et pratique. La cuisine est bien équipée (parfait pour faire des crêpes, des gâteaux...) 15 bons lits, 4 grandes salles de bain refaites et propres. De l'eau chaude pour tout le monde franchement on a été agréablement surprise de cette très belle maison. Il y a même une petite salle avec un piano, un billard, un bar et une cheminée ! Parfait pour notre nouvel an entre amis.
