We stayed in Devil's Lake Inn Too which looked newly renovated. The unit was exceptionally clean and attractive. There was a friendly tavern across the street. The host responded very quickly and was friendly.
A front porch light would make night entry easier, more welcoming and safer.

Fairly clean
-No clock in the entire suite, other than the microwave, which was also a blank display
-No rugs can make it echoey
-No dish towels for the kitchen, or anywhere to hang one...only paper towels
-Some expired granola bars were offered as "snacks"
-One garbage can in the entire suite...including bathroom
-The internet password was changed before I even finished my stay (like why bother changing it? Who that stays there is going to "steal" internet)
-The water on the sink takes a while (like several minutes) to get warm because of the water savers
-"Lake view" is optimistic claim for the room
-The floors were sticky/tacky from the cleaner that they must use
-Bed was pretty hard
-The lamps on the nightstands were comically large to the point that the nightstand almost exclusively exists to support the lamps
