About this house rental
Summary:
Our modern house was designed + purpose built with a completely separate, self-contained 1 Bedroom ‘apartment’ (it’s more like a 1-bedroom house).
The previous owners built the property to have their Mum stay in the self-contained 1 bedroom, giving them separation while still next door.
Since we have bought it, we have now set it up for guests to enjoy.
It has absolutely everything you’ll need to be right at home…
The Space:
Complete with its own entrance / front door, you can self-check in…
Once inside, you are greeted to a large, bright open plan kitchen / lounge room that allows you to cook, chill on the couch with Netflix, work on the office desk, eat a meal at the kitchen bench stools or overlook the abundance of plants in the light-well, from the dining table.
There’s unlimited WiFi + ducted Air-conditioning throughout…we also add more than just the essentials, so you’ll have everything to feel right at home.
The house was built with solid walls, so it’s quiet inside… we certainly give you your privacy, but if you see us…feel free to say hi :)
There’s always plenty of street parking right outside which is untimed / unmetered.
This is a great apartment for singles, couples, business trips or small families…just bring your toothbrush (ok…and some food)!

- 12 mins to University of Queensland (UQ) St Lucia
- 16 mins to Brisbane CBD
- There’s also bus stops just up the road to Indooroopilly / onto the CBD

Excellent location, small grocery store and Abode cafe at end of the street, outlook to beautiful small tropical garden. Great quality crockery. A quiet, pleasant area.

We found the unit to be very comfortable, well equiped, in a quiet neighbourhood and with a good grocery store and coffee shop within an easy walk.
We recommend it to anyone looking for short term accommodation in the Taringa area.

We had 7.nights here while visiting friends who lived nearby. It was all the description promised and very comfortable. The location was quiet and had a very good cafe and organic shop just a short walk down the road with beautiful coffee. It was only about a 5 minute drive to a large Westfield shopping centre which. provided all our needs. If we return to Brisbane we would book it again without hesitation.

1. Foul odour from depris build-up in shower and bathroom-floor drains. Contacted host who arranged rectification.
2. Kitchen rangehood and filters had to be cleaned by Wayne, my husband, along with a number of pots and pans, which had not been cleaned properly.
3. Cobwebs and spiders in bedroom corners.
4. Bed, living-room sofa and ding-chair worn out and uncomfortable.
5. Luggage racks not provided.
6. Lint filter in washing-machine clogged badly. Appeared not to have ever been emptied.
7. We had to park in the narrow street, whereas we were provided with undercover/off-road parking in Paddington, Toowoomba, Twin Waters, Maroochydore STAYZ properties.
