Mabel and Harry's guest house is situated in the pristine rural beauty of the Indiana countryside. This historic colonial farmhouse has been renovated into a luxury retreat. Best decorated house ever! Perfect for our family gathering. Hostess was most gracious and accommodating when I asked for a stand mixer. Everything was perfect-except the light switches could have been marked. Lots of flipping on/off lights looking for right ones.

Exceptional stay. We were in town for a high school reunion, home was a fantastic place to stay… wonderful place for friends to chat and relax. She had the makings for s’mores right there (including the marshmallow roasting sticks:), kindling for an outside fire… two spacious “family” rooms… beds were super. And the location was great, you’re out in the country but only a few minutes from our old high school. This was a fabulous VRBO experience, from the initial communications with the owner to the time we checked out. Well, well done.

This property was everything it advertised it to be! From the moment we arrived we felt right at home and fell in love with the charm of this old farmhouse. The home was decorated nicely and the house was clean. We loved the special touches that the owner left for us like the delicious cake from the local bakery, the fresh corn from their crops and supplies to make smores! The entire experience was a treat for our family!

The home and property was more than we could’ve imagined!! Picture perfect with more space than a picture can show! Tall ceilings and the two living rooms are placed perfectly! The outdoor seating around the fire places were inviting and drew out many nights filled with stories to remember! When we return to Indiana, this home will be one to return too!! So blessed this is an option in small town Indiana! Loved everything about Mabel & Harry’s house!!! What a treat and what a blessing!!!

I cannot say enough about this listing! Every part of the stay feels relaxing and truly enjoyable! We chose to stay again because we had another baseball tournament in the area and Harry and Mabel’s is our go to location. The rooms are perfect! The amount of bathrooms keeps every one happy! The living areas are spacious and the outdoor amenities are AMAZING! Janny thinks of it all and makes you feel so comfortable for the stay. We cannot wait to go back! This house is more than 5 stars!

Wow! This house is ADORABLE! Every detail is absolutely perfect in every way. We brought three families with us for a tournament and this house was 5 min away from our tournament location which was also a WIN! The decor is adorable and the kids loved the cake in the fridge to celebrate our winning games! The house is incredibly clean and organized and has everything you need to make your stay easy and relaxing. The boys loved the property to throw ball and play hide-in-seek. Janny makes her renters feel so special: Eggs, butter, orange juice, fresh bread, and the amazing cake to name a few. We booked it again in June to do the same thing over again.The families loved every minute! Thanks again, Janny! We are so thankful you restored your grandparents house and are sharing it with anyone who is interested.

We decided to host our daughter's sweet 16 birthday party here and it was the perfect setting and the perfect party to celebrate such an amazing young woman. She and her friends all loved it there and they had everything we had forgot to bring. I have 2 more daughters that will be turning 16 one day so this may become a tradition. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Highly recommended.

I returned to Mabel and Harry's this month for the third time, bringing a few friends with me to celebrate my 40th birthday. We were delighted to find the house exactly as charming and beautiful as we remembered it from previous years. With the Christmas decorations up, it was the perfect festive setting for a celebration. The thing that really continues to set this rental apart though is Janny's above-and-beyond hospitality. Not only was there a delicious cake in the fridge waiting for us when we arrived, but, when we forgot a few small things behind in the house, Janny found and insisted upon shipping them to us at no charge. I can't say enough about her thoughtfulness, kindness, and hospitality. Thank you, Janny, for a wonderful birthday!

We booked the farmhouse several months ago when my son and his fiance decided to get married in Kokomo. The house was the perfect size for the eight of us and Janny was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend staying, if not for the accomidations, then for the brilliant sunsets.

Our 37 year old son said “it was the best VRBO he has ever had the pleasure to stay.” The host, Janny, was so kind, thoughtful and quick to respond. Janny was so incredibly accommodating. Her extra touches were so thoughtful and sweet. The cake she gifted us with for our stay, we ending up using as our wedding cake! Very understanding and allowed both early check in and out. The property is above and beyond as what the listed stated. Oh my! The house was perfect: so homey, inviting, and relaxing. So many comfy and tastefully decorated places to gather in with our friends. The kitchen was SO well stocked with cooking needs, and the yard was spacious and great for playing bocce ball. Janny was detailed with check-in instructions and super responsive when we had questions. The snacks and drinks that were there for us were a special touch. Such a sweet, hospitable experience! We found Mabel and Harry’s guesthouse on vrbo, we were thrilled with the home. The farmhouse is beautiful, plenty of space for our family of 10 to spread out, beds super comfortable and Janny’s attention to detail is amazing! We grew up in the corn and bean fields of Indiana. We are now in our sixties, seventies and eighties! We are scattered now and don't get to spend much time together. Our getaway was perfect. The house is gorgeous and so comfortingly homey .Each bedroom has its own bath. Absolutely everything you need is provided. In addition Janny s little gifts make you feel so welcomed! We had a beautiful stay. Everything about the guest house is thought out, from lighting to ambiance. It is a space created for relaxing and catching up with family or friends.
