About this house rental

This exceptional, timber framed eco-lodge boasts magnificent coastal and countryside views from its huge and impressive deck, all within walking distance of beautiful Chapel Porth beach and St Agnes.

Mor Cliff is an exclusive development of just seven bespoke, architect designed contemporary eco homes. Teyr is the largest property (1843sq ft) with sea views from all main rooms, its own private garden and a secure storage shed for beach equipment, surf boards and bicycles. There's even an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach.

Built to maximise the views from the main living area, Teyr's three bedrooms are on the ground floor (all with sea views) and the high specification, open-plan living accommodation is upstairs leading out to that show stopping deck via bi-folding doors. The property is extremely well-appointed with a kitchen with granite tops, induction hob and central island with breakfast bar and state-of-the-art wood burning stove; dining area and sitting area with, all very much designed to draw your attention out to the deck and simply beautiful views.

With three bedrooms, two of them en-suite, and a family bathroom, this property is ideally suited to families or friends alike.

The National Trust beach at Chapel Porth is a pleasant 15-minute walk down a winding road and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall.

Amazing accommodation
Amazing accommodation
We had an absolutely amazing stay at teyh mor cliff in September, there were four adults and one 13 month old, plenty of room so well equipped everything you would probably find at home and more!! Stunning location and superb views across the bay to St Ives, this really is first class quality holiday accommodation and we certainly have never been so lucky to stay anywhere like this before, so much so that we returned home on Saturday 2nd October and on Sunday 3rd October we have booked for a week in May 2022 with another two family members. All facilities onsite were perfect, if we had to comment on anything at all it would be the extractor hood over the hob on island in kitchen area could be a little higher. Amazing time there and already looking forward to May 2022.

The house was very comfortable, wifi good but below stairs not good! Comfortable and large decking area. All these houses are slightly close together but this is an end house and has its own private garden (on a slope!). Lovely views across to the sea and brilliant walks all around.

Thank you for a wonderful stay
Thank you for a wonderful stay
We were fortunate to have booked to stay in this wonderful property for the whole of August 2021. The house is well maintained and furnished and was extremely comfortable and things like good quality bed sheets (often not the case at rental properties) as well as a full range of good cooking and cleaning utilities made this feel a home away from home for our long stay. Having more than one bathroom (there are 3) as well as the outside shower are fantastic both in the morning and when coming back from visits to the beach. There is plenty of space for a family to stay (this takes into account the fact that I was working for 2 of the 4 weeks we were there) and there was also lots of space for dining and having evening drinks or morning coffee on the terrace and we did not feel over crowded when we had 3 Cornish based friends over for dinner. The nearest beach (Chapel Porth) is a great sandy beach at low tides for families with smaller kids and the superb waves kept our teenage boys (and their parents) very happy on our many trips down there. St Agnes was a great place to be based with fabulous local cliff top walks (the walk along the coast into St Agnes as well as over the Beacon are both lovely) and easy access to lots of popular Cornwall attractions without feeling like you are staying in an over crowded tourist town.

Great location for views, walks and the beach
Great location for views, walks and the beach
This is a good property, with amazing coastal views and direct access to good walking paths, including one down to Chapel Porth Beach with its great cafe. It's stylish (though starting to show some wear in a few places); beds are generally good, though a topper on the master bed wouldn't go amiss for a bit more comfort, and it really needs a sun umbrella or shade of some sort for the terrace, as it's south-facing. But a lovely stay, and we will be back.

Wonderful location but condition and great for families
Wonderful location but condition and great for families
We arrived at the property and were blown away by the wonderful views from the decking. Great location and ideal for families with the gardens surrounding. It was let down a little when we took a good look around the property and noticed that the cleaning standards were quite poor. Live TV was also not working and the in built speaker system advertised would not switch on. After spending a few days there we found that someone had unplugged the aerial booster and move wires for the speakers. The TV is also located in a strange place. If it’s just 2 of you then there are chairs placed in front of it, but if like us you are a family with young children, the corner sofa is miles away and you end up sitting behind each other. Maybe they designed it that way to encourage you to switch it off and look at the views instead!! Apart from the teething problems, it’s a great house in a wonderful location, but to make it perfect, they need to invest in keeping fixtures and fittings in good order.

Overall our family had a wonderful week's stay at Teyr Mor Cliff, in spite of fairly poor weather
Overall our family had a wonderful week's stay at Teyr Mor Cliff, in spite of fairly poor weather
Teyr Mor Cliff worked fantastically well for 3 generations of our extended family, ranging from a toddler to a grandparent. We were lucky in that this property has additional parking within its own separate garden, otherwise we weren't sure where we could have parked a 2nd car, as each of the 6 eco houses only appears to have one allocated parking space. We loved the layout of the house, particularly the open-plan living area which opened onto the large enclosed terrace, with views of the sea in the dstance; the bathrooms were great and the beds extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, apart from the fact that we would have expected a house of this specification to have a (Nespresso) coffee pod machine in addition to a cafetiere. The location was perfect for us in that many places were easily accessible, either on foot, eg Chapel Porth beach and St Agnes itself, or by car. We walked some of the south west coastal path, in both directions, admiring the stunning views. The 20 month old had his first ever beach experiences, which he loved, at Chapel Porth, Trevanaunce Cove and Porthtowan. Bad weather days, of which there were quite a few (cool, wet and windy!) took us further afield, to Tate St Ives (thoroughly recommend completing the final few miles by train from St Erth station (plenty of parking), which is a beautiful 12 minute journey along the coast via Carbiss Bay, the beautiful Trelissik Gardens and delightful St Mawes, via the King Harry Ferry. Teyr Mor Cliff is approximately 10 years old, and is just starting to show its age in places, which could very easily be rectified. We had a few glitches initially, eg the heating wasn't working in the 3rd bedroom and it was only 15 degrees the first night. Fortunately an electrician came out the next day, in spite of it being a Sunday, and was able to sort it out (apparently it is quite a complicated heating system and it wasn't something that we could have fixed ourselves). There was a large wooden storage box just outside the front door, presumably for storing beach equipment, but when we arrived it was completely full of the previous occupants' sacks of rubbish, possibly because there was no indication as to where exactlythe communal bin store was located, other than 'on the site'. We noticed that other sacks of rubbish were just lying on the ground for several days near one of the other properties. The BBQ also hadn't been cleaned, but having reported the issue we were provided with a new one. All our issues were sorted, with apologies, but it just felt as though everything wasn't quite geared up to receiving guests again. Despite these glitches, we had a fantastic time and packed a lot in, but above all it was just wonderful for us all to spend a week together in a very comfortable and 'easy' house, having barely seen each other for over a year, thanks to Covid19!
