Brother's House

Excellent value for money, which is exactly why we booked it, and it delivered for the price. It sits in Sibiu's Lower Town, a pleasant 10 to 15 minute walk up to the historic Upper Town and Old Town. The host was very responsive on Booking chat and kindly helped us with parking, which is tricky in Sibiu (all paid, nothing free), reassuring us where to leave the car on the street. The common areas and corridors were cute, and although our room backed onto the shared kitchen with other guests around, it stayed wonderfully quiet.

On entering the room there was a musty, wine-cellar-like smell (a hint of mildew). We noticed this elsewhere in Romania too, but it was more pronounced here. We also couldn't find any coffee in the kitchen in the morning and there were no instructions for the coffee machine, so a little morning coffee and a quick how-to would be a nice touch.

Very good location, very near the centre. Room big enough, comfortable bed.

A small kitchen and eating area available away from the room, with potential facilities to make a tea or coffee, but not sure that we can use it or not, coffee machine switched off, when we tried to put it on, warning light that filter needs replacing, kettle with some water and a few tea bags, but, again, not sure if we can have a tea, a large dispensing water bottle available, but empty on arrival and when leaving, no drinking water available. 2 small water bottles could be left in each room, a small card saying if tea or coffee are available, if not available, make this clear. It was a very, very hot day and no drinking water was available. Not clear if tap water is good to drink? Parking only available on the street, make this clear from start, advertising says with parking and with own coffee machine, it should say parking on the street and coffee macine available at extra cost or available, but needs extra filter that customer must provide, or whatever the case is?

Lovely room, a short walk from the town center. Had an amazing gold sink. Very comfortable bed. Excellent value.

A little noisy at times when other people were coming or going and the pipes made some noise. But didn't disturb me too much.

Location.

The room was not clean, no closet or single hanger, during three days nobody pop up for cleaning or providing clean towels, you need to call by yourself and asking for this. There’s no deligating parking for this apartments like it mentioned, you need to find the place on the street by yourself and pay for it as well. Also personnel not speaking English well, quite difficult to communicate.
