Rhona's Cottage

Great location. 5 mins from the Town Centre. 2 mins from Linda Vista Gardens for the dog. It was a cosy cottage with all the amenities, warm and comfortable.

Nothing we didn’t like. However parking outside could be a problem. When we stayed, the community Centre opposite the property wasn’t fully open so we parked in their car park. It is their private car park. Having said that there is a large public car park just over 5 mins around the corner. Dog owners need to be aware that there is a shared lane at the back of the property which is in the instructions. We didn’t use the garden so can’t comment on that.

Brilliant location. Just a short walk into town. The cottage was clean and comfortable and just felt like home

The step in the entrance was a little difficult to navigate if you don’t have great mobility but that’s not really something that can be helped

Wow !!! What can I say ; Rhonas cottage - SUPERB Abergavenny - SUPERB Local people - SUPERB I have stayed in a lot of places Air BnB and Booking.com. Rhonas cottage has to be one of my favourite places ever so far. The cottage is exemplary , just about anything you could think of is here and it is IMMACULATE !! The person that maintains and cleans it needs a pay rise. It is so so clean !! A lovely idea was the welcome baker of wine, biscuits and welsh cakes. Abergavenny itself and its residents are so calm and kind and happy, it felt quite strange to be in a place that is so calm and considerate. There is nothing I can complain about in any way!! The only thing that could upset some people is the parking bit, there are no spaces outside the cottages (neighbours park here - and quite right as they are residents all year ). You can’t park across the road anymore, but it only took us a few minutes of working out to find somewhere ( road adjacent but not in a residents spot ). I don’t have a reason to come back to Abergavenny BUT I am going to find one !!! I came with a friend but would have felt equally as safe and happy if I had come on my own. Everything has been amazing… do not want to leave 🥹

Excellent location, everything you need is very accessible.

The property was comfortable, spacious and warm. We had a lovely welcome basket with Welsh cakes, sweets and wine - great touch! The heating was responsive and kitchen well equipped. There was a utility room which proved very useful as we got completely soaked on a walk.

It’s only a little thing but the towels were quite small. There is only 1 bathroom, which was fine as we were a group of 4, but I imagine that a group of 6 would be a little challenging, however it would not put me off returning.
