Great location for exploring this part of Normandy. A nice walk (about 1.5km) down to Omaha beach too.

It's a nice base. Beware if travelling with small kids or someone a bit infirm, the stairs is quite steep!

Close and easy walking to most attractions. Can preorder food from next door restaurant.

No access to busses.. taxis are difficult and expensive to come by. a car is really necessary. Also only ONE toilet for the whole house in the lower level all the way by laundry room.

Very good

The proximity to Omaha beach was great. The gite was compact but clean and nicely decorated. It was great to have the washing machine & drier as we are a family of 6. The kitchen facilities were good for eating in and there was also the convenience of the restaurant onsite for eating out (La Cremaillere, the owner of which also owns the Gites... A discount on the restaurant would have been nice 😁)

Its a pity that the wash basin is not located in the WC, it is in the next room (the shower/laundry room). The stairs are a bit dangerous for young kids (and older adults) but managable with care. There is no WC upstairs so you do have to navigate the stairs during the night should you need to use the WC.

Clean comfortable simple adequate.

No bathroom products eg soap, shampoo, toilet paper. Ridiculously small towels and one less than the number of guests. No tea towels. Attitude of hostess unhelpful and unfriendly bordering on rude.

Just a perfect location to stay while visiting Normandy

We enjoyed our holiday stay at Gîte Utah in Normandy and found the location convenient, hosts friendly, and the house well-equipped for all our family's needs. We would recommend visiting the hosts' restaurant next to the house and enjoying the delicious cuisine there. We hope our feedback will be helpful to others who are considering staying at Gîte Utah in Normandy.

Newly renovated, spacious apartment

Very unpleasant owner. It was the first time we had such an experience with booking.com that we had to clean up the apartment or the owner will charge 70eur. It was not mentioned while booking. Booking.com was trying to reach her, but she didn’t answer to them. Please be prepared !

It is super close to Omaha Beach. It has two showers, but only one toilet. It has a washer and dryer.

The owners did not meet us and when trying to contact it took more than an hour and a half to get a response. We were told a day before we came that no towels would be provided. It worked out for us since we drove from home, but would have been very frustrating if I was flying in to visit. Never saw the hosts and then got a second charge on my credit card from their business with no explanation

Pleasant

Good location for all the things to see regarding D-Day. Perfect internet. Dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans are available. Have a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The beds are comfortable and have down pillows.

During the day and if it is a sunny day, the restaurant's barbeque is used outside and you can't open any window on that side without having all the smoke inside. The toilet seat should be replaced asap. The broom to be used to clean was very dirty and used and was full of the hair and dust from the previous guests. The chairs and table from the terrace had a very thick layer of dust on them. The top 4 dishes from the stack were dirty. Also, the pans were dirty and greasy. The same can be said about the cutlery.

Great base with the kids for exploring normandy.

Very conveniently positioned for the d-day beaches, Bayeux and anything else in normandy you may want to visit. Not far off the main autoroute and just a short walk (uphill on the way back!) down to Omaha Beach. Dish washer, washing machine and tumble dryer which was a bonus. Didn't have problems with noise from deliveries as others have mentioned.

Beds in themselves were comfortable but not sure what the sheets were made from but they made you very hot! Curtains didn't make the rooms particularly dark, more decorative and I prefer a dark room.

3 night stay

The property is in a good location with a restaurant next to it that serves delicious food. The place was spacious with all the necessary household appliances. Standard fridge (not the small hotel ones), washer, and dryer. Our room had two showers which was perfect for 6 of us.

Only one toilet that is downstairs. Makes it hard for elderly folks if they have to be going in the middle of the night. The noise from the road if you have windows open. We did notice more traffic noise on weekdays and not on a weekend. I’m sure in winter with windows closed the noise would be no factor. Overall, the good definitely outweigh some of these minor details.

we came 4 nights for beach and D-Day. All was done perfectly

the space was enormous for the three of us, easy to fit 5 comfortably. All kinds of equipment available , very easy for laundry and own cooking. 2 bathrooms. Nice owners and helpful close to beach and museum’s. Attached pizza restaurant , very convenient.

During late night and early morning the restaurant is supplied by truck and trolley carts, that for sure will wake you up. when windows are closed everything should be ok

Comfortable and Conveniently located!

The location was perfect for exploring all of the major WWII sites and The Bayeux Tapestry. A 10 min walk to the Omaha beach museum and beach. It was only a 5-10 min drive to the American Cemetery and the Overlord Museum. And about 20-25 min to St Mere Eglise and the Airborne Museum ( highly recommend). 1 1/2 hour drive to Mont St Michel!

Towels would have been nice, but we made do with beach towels.

Lovely, perfect Gite.

Great location for ww2 beaches. Quiet and relaxing. Spacious apartment, well equipped apartment. Great shower and plenty of hot water. The restaurant next door did tasty food. The host was super friendly and helpful.

The pillows, mattress protector & duvet were a polyester type material which make for a sweaty night's sleep. But this is just personal preference and not a fault of the host. The restaurant being closed in the evening again this isn't the hosts fault. Must have transport due to Gites location and distance away from supermarkets.

Check in and parking was easy and the place was clean and tidy. Bed linens were provided, but if you need towels you will need to request them (we brought our own). The owner was very helpful and if you needed anything she was easy to contact. Restaurant right next door as well. Great place to stay.

Fantastic property right in the middle of Normandy. Close to Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery. House comfortably sleeps 8, has two showers, washer/dryer, and full kitchen. Small patio area for when the weather is nice.

Parking is communal for the restaurant. Not a problem when they are closed, but we had nowhere to park during lunch. Also, only one toilet for the unit and it’s downstairs (bedrooms are upstairs).

Excellent gîte moderne, très bien situé

Gîte moderne, spacieux, bien équipé, literie confortable. Parking aisé devant le gîte et restaurant ouvert le matin et le midi : très pratique pour de bonnes viennoiseries au lever! Accueil sympathique. Le tout à quelques minutes de Omaha beach, parfait pour découvrir la région!

Prima verblijf voor paar dagen cultuur verkennen.

Locatie is centraal om alles wat je omtrent D-Day zou willen bezichtigen. Huisje heeft feitelijk alles aanwezig. Parkeren is gratis maar niet aan/naast het huisje.

Inrichting woonkamer/keuken. Kan praktischer en gezelliger. Gratis parkeren is op openbare parkeerplaats bij restaurant. Uitgang afzuigkap naastgelegen restaurant is gericht op slaapkamer raam. Genoeg andere ramen om te openen. Matras is ok, wij persoonlijk houden van minder harde matrassen. Er is geen trapleuning, wc in nacht is dan even voorzichtig lopen ivm deze beneden is. Raam bekleding is zeer licht doorlatend of biedt weinig privacy.

Locatie was perfect voor het bezoeken van alles omtrent D-day. Het huisje was netjes, maar wel koel ingericht. Niet echt gericht op een langdurig vakantieverblijf. Maar eerder op enkele nachten. Restaurant en strand vlakbij, pluspunt. Beschikt wel over een gemeenschappelijk terras (met buurhuisje) maar geen tuin.

opgelet: ter plaatste dienden we een borg van 250 euro te betalen! Tot op vandaag is deze nog steeds niet gedeblokkeerd! Reeds verschillende berichten gestuurd naar de eigenaar. We kregen eerst geen antwoord, uiteindelijk wel een mailtje terug gehad dat het in orde zou zijn. Maar een week later, is dit nog steeds niet in orde. Ik neem nogmaals contact op, en neem contact op met de klantendienst van booking zelf. Hopelijk raakt dit snel opgelost! Niet fijn!

A solo 1.5 km dalle spiagge ( si possono raggiungere a piedi tramite una pedonale)In posizione strategica e a 2 passi da tutto il resto!!! Nonostante sia su un incrocio di strade la pace è sovrana L’appartamento è di recente costruzione Di fianco c’è un ristorante del proprietario dell’appartamento e si mangia bene ad un buon prezzo (molto più economico che vicino alla spiagge) Consiglio anche a chi viaggia in 🏍️ c’è molto spazio per parcheggiare e tenerle sotto controllo
