Apartments No2 and Apartment No 56 in Santa Maria, Sal Island, Cape Verde - A Beach Front Location But Only A Short Level Walk To Restaurants, Bars, Banks And Shops
The apartments are situated in the well respected Porto Antigo 2 complex. The well tended gardens are ablaze with colour from the abundance of tropical plants that surround the central swimming pool, and this opens onto the white sands of Santa Maria Beach. The beach is a mecca for windsurfing and kitesurfing, fishing, scuba diving and swimming. Turtles return year after year to lay eggs in the sands of Sal island, and a fantastic conservation programme is in operation. During the nesting season you can arrange to go on night patrol, and even see baby turtles hatch and return to the sea. Boat trips can be organised from the pier to go fishing or sailing. Whales and dolphins frequent the waters of Sal, and are regularly seen. The fishing trips can be game fishing, or a few hours in a local wooden boat. Scuba diving can be booked from several outlets on the beach, and depart from the local pier. Or if you just want to chill, free sunbeds are available around the pool.

Absolutely loved the stay at this place. The property itself is a good fit for a family of 4, with a very nice outdoor pool right out your door, and a beach only steps away. Host and on-site property manager were ABOVE helpful, even coming out to help us with something minor at 10pm, within 20 minutes of us reaching out. Manager was knowledgeable and super helpful with regards to local activities also. Lastly, the island itself was so lovely, and the people were so friendly, that our 8 year old son teared up that we had to leave this place. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful apartment within a fantastic location, very quiet, safe and secure.
Apartment was exactly as described, had amazing views of the beach, gardens and pool area, just a stones throw from all amenities, shops and restaurants.
We enjoyed catching the last bit of sun on the balcony in the evenings before venturing out to find somewhere to eat. Huge amount of choice to eat out with most supplying freshly caught fish cooked to perfection.
Our hosts Andrew and Lorraine were fabulous providing extensive details about checking in and where to go making our holiday very easy. They even pre-booked our taxi to/from the airport and a fantastic first night restaurant.
Took advantage of the great surfing opportunities and enjoyed an island tour.
All in all a wonderful holiday and will definitely return.
