I absolutely loved staying here. The apartment was spotlessly clean, I’d say out of all the places I’ve stayed, Seagull sanctuary is exceptional as regards to hygiene standards. The view from the balcony is fantastic where you can watch all kinds of sea birds and I even had the honour of watching a seal diving and resurface for 30 minutes one morning. The location is perfect, beautiful walk to Wells next to Sea Beach and to be able to explore the town behind the apartment also and Norfolk coastal path.
One of the mattresses in the room overlooking the bay is very uncomfortable and really does need replacing. I tried to sleep in it on the first night but it really hurt my back. The netting around the balcony is unnecessary and it is also very cruel if a pigeon, seagull or any other bird should get caught in it. Also it does somewhat detract from sitting out on the balcony and looking at the views.
