About this house rental
Beautiful country house with wrap around porch, outside deck to enjoy the mountain views.
4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, spacious living room with cozy fireplace nook. Smart TV, and and stocked with games. Dining room with coffee-tea bar.
Kitchen has new appliances, fully stocked with everything you would need. Just bring the groceries!
Half bath downstairs off the kitchen also has a new washer and dryer.
Living room has fireplace, Smart TV, and games. Comfotable leather couch
In addition, we have an Outside fire pit and chiminea.
New gas grill off kitchen deck.
No Air-conditioning in the house. The rooms all have ceiling fans. The house stays pretty cool. I have curtains on the back of the house for the afternoon that keeps the sun from heating up the house. If fans stay on it’s quite comfortable. We have a nice mountain cross breeze with the open windows up on the hill as well. Always very comfortable.

The house is very spacious, well stocked and extremely well organized. We didn’t see the note about no A/C in the property listing (found it way down at the bottom in the about section) and unfortunately Mother Nature chose to bring a heat wave to Honesdale the same time we were there. Tamra was extremely accommodating and there were lots of fans… more fans than outlets in some rooms. Tamra’s generosity was above and beyond.

This is an older home with alot of charm. We stayed here because it was more then enough space for family staying in town for a wedding. Some highlights for us was that the kitchen was mostly stocked (the coffee drinkers in the family could not find sugar) but there is a supermarket and Wal-mart within 15mins. Lots are deer around. At night we were sitting out on the porch and we heard a primal scream from some animal it felt so close but couldn't see anything. The beds were comfortable. The thing we worried about the most was lack of a/c. Surprisingly it was very comfortable. Plenty of fans around to keep the air moving. If your looking for 5 star accommodation this is not where you want to stay. But if you're simple ppl like we are, in town to be with family this is perfect.
