About this villa rental

Welcome to real Andalusia - away from the hustle and bustle of the Costa del Sol! The house is located south of the white mountain village of Canillas de Aceituno (www. Cda247. Com) - approx. 50 km east of Malaga (airport) - in a wonderful location on a long ridge (approx. 580 meters above sea level). M.). Therefore, from the inside and especially from the terraces, there are breathtaking views of the impressive surroundings.

The detached house with private pool (8x4 m) has two bedrooms (both with air conditioning) and a shower room in addition to the living room, to which the open kitchen with all common appliances is directly attached. The washing machine and another refrigerator are housed in an additional large room, the suitcases can also be stored here so that the living space of the house can be used optimally.
The house is very quiet on a plot of land high on a long chain of hills, so that you have a magnificent panoramic view (almost 360 degrees!) can enjoy. Due to the wide view, the sunsets are always a highlight, which you can then enjoy with a glass of wine or a cool beer in warm temperatures.
Due to the size of the garden, you have peace and privacy, especially since the property already has an attractive stock of trees and wonderfully blooming oleander bushes.

Breathtaking views open up from the large pool terraces and the other cozy terraces and seating:
To the west, a wide valley opens up with the large, turquoise-blue Viñuela reservoir in the middle, while vineyards and almond trees are predominant in the east. The bloom in January / February is a feast for the eyes!
To the south you can see the Mediterranean Sea at a distance of about 11 km. Due to the exposed location, on clear days you can watch the ships on the way to and from the Strait of Gibraltar and see the mountains of the African coast.

Shops (many small, quaint shops such as bakers, butchers, greengrocers, fish, etc.) are located in the village. In practice, you will probably combine a visit to the beach with shopping in Torre del Mar / Velez Malaga once a week (25 minutes from the house) (map). There are huge shopping centers and also the well-known discounters from Germany such as Aldi and Lidl as well as various doctors and even a hospital.

The beaches of the eastern Costa del Sol are nowhere near as built up as the sections south of Malaga in Torremolinos etc. Good beaches can be reached quickly. You can find them not only in nearby Torre del Mar (20km), but also u. a in Torrox, Nerja (40 km) and Maro.

Wonderful old towns with cultural treasures attract visitors. In addition to many still unjustified unknown places, this includes Seville, Cordoba, Granada with the world-famous Alhambra and the increasingly beautiful old town of Malaga with the Picasso Museum, the old Alcazaba castle high on the rock and the new harbor promenade.

The area offers excellent hiking routes of all lengths and requirements. These range from easy paths through the vineyards to delightful tours in the mountains with breathtaking views to the strenuous ascent of the mighty, 2 065 meter high "La Maroma" massif (almost on the doorstep).

You can eat amazingly well in our mountain village, which, although it is absolutely no overcrowded tourist place, has numerous very nice and still very cheap restaurants and bars. But everywhere street and beach cafes invite you to enjoy tapas and wine in the mild air.

The last two kilometers of access are on a dirt road that is regularly maintained by the municipality and can be driven by normal cars, with individual concrete sections, which is also flanked in large parts by guard rails. An expansion with concrete or Asphalt is planned.

This is a home away from home. Since it is not a professional rent out property it has in stead all the positive vibes and everything you need for having an amazing stay/holiday. The view is truely breathtaking. And there are so many nice places to sit for a drink or meal to enjoy it - if not from the pool.:-) It is rather challenging to get there with the narrow roads but once you are there you really dont want to leave again! We stayed a family of Four - 2 teenage boys and had a wonderfull stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Udo.

I had a very relaxing two weeks at this house, the location is amazing, high in mountains, totally peaceful and private. The house is really well equipped inside and out, it feels like a home rather than a holiday let. If need anything the owner or Caroline is only a text away, they’re very helpful. I spent most of my time in and around the pool, almost an infinity, with an incredible view of the valley and mountains in the distance. It’s quite a long drive up the mountain to get there, but well worth it once you arrive, after driving up and down a few times it doesn’t seem so long. I had a brilliant time there and I really didn’t want to leave, it would have to be a 5 star rating from me.
