Well, you can have both if you consider our Northwood’s Retreat. A hearty and spacious 4-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom vacation rental cabin just outside of Dunbar, Wisconsin. With over 2,600 square feet and the ability to comfortably sleep 12 guests, you enjoy a quiet retreat or a rowdy trail ride with friends and family in this Northern Getaway. Lakes, Rivers, Woods and Trails all await your adventure. This property is in the heart of hunters, four-wheeler and snowmobilers paradise!

When you enter our gorgeous log cabin, you will walk into a beautiful open floor plan for entertaining your friends and family combining the living room, dining area and kitchen. Relax on the reclining sectional sofa in the living room while watching the 65 inch screen TV while the group’s chef prepares a home-cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen and you can all dine at the custom handcrafted cedar wood dining table.
The cabin offers plenty of space to spread out and relax but also space to congregate. There is currently a unfurnished loft that would all more space for air mattresses etc…if the need arose.
After dinner, you can choose to relax and watch TV in front of the wood stove or head to the Hot Tub and relax under the stars in the middle of the woods. If a campfire and s’mores is on the agenda, head on out to the yard and hang with friends around the fire pit to get toasty or toasted.
When you are ready to hit the hay you can choose one on the 4 bedrooms all boasting brand new comfortable mattresses sitting upon custom hand crafted cedar beds. With 3 private bedrooms to choose from offering sleeping accommodations for 6 people. For larger groups and families that choose to utilize the bunk room extends sleeping accommodations up to 12 people. You have 2.5 baths so there won’t be as many lines to the loo. All towels, linens, bedding etc are included in this professionally cleaned, well maintained retreat.

This area is known as the Waterfalls Capital of Wisconsin, where you are positioned amidst 14 scenic and accessible waterfalls which are located primarily in the Marinette County Parks System. Whether you choose to hike, camp or picnic along the tour, a falls excursion is a great way to cap off a weekend or vacation.
If you ride trails, the Dunbar Area is chock full of beautifully groomed trails and scenery for year round exploring and our cabin has plenty of parking for trailers.
While relaxing in the cabin in front of the woodstove or outside in the hot tub may be how you prefer to spend your vacation. You do have the option to get out and explore the surrounding waterfalls, towns and restaurants. Iron Mountain is less than 20 minutes away with shopping, tours, restaurants and much more.

- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, cell phone booster, TV Antenna (4 PBS channels), 2 TV’s with DVD players, outdoor grill, central air conditioning, 2 wood stoves for toasty relaxing nights, a large porch facing the pond and acreage, a hot tub, washer and dryer, fire pit, swing set for the kids and basketball hoop plus much more.

Services and airport close by in Iron Mountain, MI. Famous Pine Mountain Ski Jump 20 minutes from Lodge. Many lakes, rivers and streams nearby. Hundreds of miles of hiking, cycling, xc and snowmobiling in the immediate area. Nearby Menomimee River is rated in top 10 US small mouth fisheries. A paradise for both sports and solitude. Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and Thomas Edison camped here annually.
