About this house rental
We welcome you to come enjoy a relaxing stay with us on our 42 acre farmstead. Enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch of the original German homestead and watch the sun set over 5 acres of estate grapevines. We welcome you, to our home away from home, with open arms and 5 star hospitality.
Melissa’s Farmstead encompasses a1860’s homestead that we have refurbished and currently are in the process of transforming into another amenity offered during your stay. The Main Home however, it is connected by a 15*22 covered breezeway and stone outdoor grilling area. The furnished breezeway and smart TV, make it the ideal spot to watch your favorite sporting event or relax during the beautiful evenings. The original smoke house was saved and transformed into an outdoor grilling area. So, if you're not in the mood to get out and enjoy the local fine cuisine, stay in and grill up your own masterpiece, right here at home.
The home offers two master suites, one downstairs and one upstairs both with private baths. The upstairs also offers two king bedrooms connected by a jack and jill bathroom. In addition, there is also small private loft in the pergola upstairs, with beanbags and games for the kids to enjoy.
On the main floor, you will find our luxurious full kitchen accented with bar space and a reclaimed farm table, comfortably seating 10 people for your family dinners. The living area comes furnished with a full leather sectional, side tables, and a beautiful mesquite coffee table, perfect for relaxing and enjoying company. In our effort to retain an authentic approach , the Dutch doors leading to the wrap around back porch, welcomes the outdoors in.
We believe your experience should truly be one of a kind, therefore our hospitality demonstrates such. Rest assured, that delicious coffee, pastries, cereals, oatmeal, snacks, and other local surprises, will be provided during your stay. We also know how exhausting traveling can be, so we make sure that when you arrive, there is water waiting, juice for the kids, along with orange juice, and milk for your upcoming breakfast. In addition, the kitchen cabinets are fully stocked and ready for you to use. Arrive at ease, knowing your family will have everything it needs to plan and prepare a meal together. Our goal, is for our guest to create lifelong experiences and unforgettable memories for you to talk about and share for years to come. Myself and all three of my siblings (along with spouses) enjoyed the weekend in Fredricksburg and loved this house. Nice and quiet and just far enough from town. Deer and other wildlife were frequent visitors.

Melissa's Farmstead is a secluded place a short distance from town where you are away from the busy streets of Fredericksburg. We loved the repurposed wood and the copper fixtures in the house. We enjoyed watching the deer as we sat on the porch having a snack or glass of wine.I would recommend this place to my friends.Jerry B
