Our vacation vineyard located on the outskirts of Leiwen offers you the best conditions for an unforgettable stay on the Moselle. Experience how wine, landscape, nature and culture ideally complement each other here. Relax in our *** / **** apartments. They were from the German Tourism Association e. V. excellent. The German Agricultural Society has recommended us for excellent holidays and wine. We, the family Scholtes, live and work around, in and on our holiday vineyard. On about 7 hectares of vines we produce our Riesling and Spätburgunder wines. Everything our cellar offers to delicacies, you can taste after a great day in one of our apartments in the evening and enjoy. A magnificent view offers the beholder from the wooded Moselle heights on one of the most beautiful Moselle loops, to which the old and traditional wine village Leiwen in perfect harmony nestles. Is it any wonder that this unique location between steep slopes, winding rivers and extensive vineyards, combined with an unusually mild climate, attracted Celts, Romans and Franks at an early age? The long tradition of the Leiwen wine-growing village undoubtedly goes back to the Romans, who gave the place its name and left the wine as a legacy. Documentary mention of the place was first 633 n. Chr. In today's Leiwen tradition and progress entered into a pleasant synthesis; old, romantic facades and modern, neat houses characterize the unmistakable villagescape. The beauty of the many awards at many village competitions and the recognition as a state-recognized resort. A well-balanced, comprehensive leisure program makes Leiwen one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Moselle.
