Everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed how close it was to the beach and walking trails.

We were a group of 8 adults with a 3 year old. Everyone had many good nights rests in just the right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. We played family games and enjoyed both inside and out. There were a number of gathering spots. Thank you for sharing your house.

The owner was very nice and responsive, and can tell she cares and once her guests to have a good stay. However, the is advertised to sleep 14 but that is not correct unless you include the couches. The “Harry Potter” “room” with no door can sleep 1 child only, and even then they need to be careful to not hit their head on ceiling. It claimed to have a full size bed so we had planned on 2 adults sleeping there. They ended up using the pull out couch downstairs which meant they had no privacy and got woken up when anymore walked downstairs in the morning. The worker part for them was the mattress was so thin my sister had indent on her shin from the metal frame digging into her leg while she slept. Which brings me to cleanliness. When we arrived I sat on main dining table and realized sand all over the tabletop. The stairwell was sticky, but might be their cleaner didn’t work with type of paint. The railing is also loose. Back in the Harry Potter room. The top comforter had a stain that looked like blood, and the second blanket underneath had white crusty stains and more dried blood. It was pretty obvious a man or couple somehow used that bed for something besides sleeping and the cleaners did not wash the blankets. My daughter slept in one of the twin beds in another room upstairs and said there was sand in sheets. Mind you we did not go to the beach on Day 1. I booked the house stating 14 people, but were only 10 bath towels, so we did a lot of laundry every day to make it work. Also could not find any wash clothes to do dishes, only 3 used sponges under the sink (gross). I contacted the owner and she did offer to bring more towels in the morning, but that seemed awkward. The location was 2 blocks from the beach, however it would have been nice to know there’s no beach access from that section of the beach and have to walk far down. Also, the side street to the house is not paved! This would also have been good to know in advance, as I was recovering from ankle surgery and using a wheelchair and crutches, so made everything a bit more difficult. All in all for the price charged a night I expected the bare essentials to be provided and the house to be properly cleaned.
