Loved the Mountain View, reasonably quiet.

I wish that I had looked at the reviews before booking. The entire house smelled like dog and pee. It was one of the worst smells I have ever experienced. We had to sleep with the doors open it was so bad. There were bugs everywhere when we got there. I messaged them and was told that the local staff was coming to help with the cleaning and smell and no one showed. Hot tub was broken which was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay there. We will not be coming back. The view was pretty but I will never stay in a place that is dirty like that again. You can tell the place didn’t get cleaned before we came. There was hair all over the bathtub, dirt around the sink, bugs in every area of the house and the smell was absolutely disgusting. For as much as we paid to stay here you would think it would be clean.

Nice quiet area, close to Cades Cove, not far from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Will stay again.

The view is AMAZING!!! Cute cabin! This cabin advertises a hot tub, but it was out of order. No cold water in the kitchen sink, and the hot is scalding. Dishes were dirty. Couch and beds aren't very comfortable.

Cabin booking seems lovely online however the cabin is located up a very steep mountain with winding gravel roads. Which is not very functional for smaller vehicles and should be advised. The hot tub was still down from the previous guest. The beds in both rooms were very firm and uncomfortable to sleep on. We did not get a restful sleep and ended up leaving a night early because we slept so terrible. Also not a huge deal but not a friendly stay if you need internet for whatever reason. If staying for the attractions of pigeon forge or gatlinburg be advised it is a 45 minute drive each way. Entry way from parking was washed away from rain and could be a hazard for anyone trying to walk up or down. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

Nice after you find it

This cabin is perfect for 1-2 people who plan to spend most of their time either on the porch staring at the mountains, or out exploring the area. There unfortunately wasn’t any local tv available or wifi but there was plenty of service to use phones. The views make up for it though!

The view is amazing. It was just like the pictures. The house was clean when we got there. It was hard to find at first but we were able to use the written directions from the check in instructions. Definitely would stay here again.

CONS - We had to wash all cookware, dishes, and utensils before use due to old food still on them - Bedding was all dirty - Pullout couch absolutely filthy with dead scorpion in mattress, stains/food, and a live wasp - Balcony railing flimsy and unsafe - Non-working hot tub - Satellite non-functional in living room - Needs a good update and deep clean - Residents firing unnecessary amounts of shots after dark (like 20-30 at a time) PROS - View - Privacy - Location (close to amenities) - Dishes, cookware, and utensils available - Working AC and fridge - Plenty of sleep space - Basic travel-size toiletries provided

The cabin we stayed in has awesome views!!We come down to the Smokies 2 or 3 times a year!! Love it!!

The view was awesome. Directions were a little vague. The cabin could use some major updates and a good thorough cleaning.

The property was enjoyable . Owners may think about putting some ice trays in to make tenants some ice ? There were noises in the walls when all was quiet .

This cabin was filthy. Crumbs on cabinet. Floors not swept or mopped. Furniture has not been dusted in who knows when. Carpet was so filthy you need to burn it. Hot tub broke. Cable in living room not working. Only in bedroom and the bed should be thrown out with cleaning crew. Only thing good was the view from porch. I should be compensated for staying there. I have been renting for years and this was the worst experience. The rental was through vacasa. I will never rent from them again and would not recommend them to another person or even a dog.

Location was close to town. Yet secluded. Very quite neighborhood

Was not clean,hot tub didn't work. Just not overall satisfied.

The place was filthy and I expect to be compensated. Shouldn't have to pay for staying at a dirty cabin.

Do not rent. The same issues that are reported months ago still have not been fixed. Management company runs property. They do nothing. Gave me cleaning fees back and booking. It is discussing.

We've stayed here before. We love the view and quietness.

This cabin is within Townsend. All necessary amenities were there. It is perfect for a getaway. We had four adults and had plenty of room. This cabin had not been updated, but that has helped it keep a reasonable nightly rate. If you want peace and quiet, this is a great cabin.

The location was great, and the cabin was clean when we arrived.

I never received information on how to access the property. After 5 hours, Vacasa finally sent me the code- at 945pm. By then we booked through Another provider and had a much more convenient experience with them. Much faster and more thorough customer service

broken electrical cover in bedroom, dirty floors, needs another GFI outlet in kitchen near sink. dead flies on window sill behind bed head board. We will never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone.

Cabin was TERRIBLE! Very disgusting and dirty. Hot tub was not filled and full of dead bugs. Carpet ripped up. Bugs on floor, Dirty towels, broken scrren on patio door. Horrible response from Vacasa Property management hists. Left cabin shortly after arrival and called and texted hosts. Had to rent a different cabin with a different company.

I’m going to start with the positive. The view was amazing and the highlight of the cabin. The view is definitely not worth the night fee. The cabin was about equal to a state park cabin rental or worse. There where no screens in the windows. Therefore there as no opening windows. There was a broken window when we got there that wouldn’t close. My husband fixed it. The door lock was also broken like someone broke in a time or two. My husband also fixed that the cleaning fee should be obsolete. Actually we should get paid a cleaning fee for staying there. The hot tub DOES NOT WORK, but there is no longer a inch of water in the bottom The carpet is so gross and the furniture on the side of the road is better than the furniture in this place. Two out of the four people in our party where bitten by spiders. ( yes it is a cabin in the woodS)

Vacasa sent me an early check in stating it was ready, it wasn’t. When it was finally ready, it was not clean. There was dust caked on the ceiling fan, beams, door frames, and walls. The whole cabin smelled badly like mold and mildew, a note was left on the hot tub saying it was out of order and empty, the property had a lot of damage. Cracked bathroom window and sink, kitchen cabinets damaged and broken along bottom, hole in carpet covered by another badly cut piece laid across hole with paper towels folded under it, hole in screen door, the carpet was stained and had a really dirty feel on your feet. It was poorly maintained and very dirty. We were disappointed with the cabin and the rental company because all they did was say they were sorry. I was still charged a hot tub fee for a hot tub that didn’t work and a cleaning fee when it doesn’t look like anything was cleaned aside from new sheets being put on the beds.

Pros- pretty view, convenient Cons- Moldy smell hot tub broke & stuff floating in water carpet needs replaced, holes in carpet & they patched it by laying a piece of carpet over it- Not glued down or attached to floor Bedroom light was out Other bedroom door wouldn’t shut Railing on deck needed repairs badly All furniture was in bad shape Air vents were VERY rusty and dirty Screen door was broken Cobwebs all over I did contact them about problems. They said they would fix hot tub/ lights/ door/ railing. Hot tub still said 76 when we left the cabin returning home with floating stuff in tub. Their solution was to drop a chorine tablet in. Honestly, felt like a run down frat house. Way better cabins in the area.

Hot tub never never heated up. Followed directions. Still never worked. Carpet needs to be replaced. It's really, really nasty. The BBQ grill was falling apart. The cabin is beautiful and has a great view. In need of little TLC.

We booked this cabin for 3 reasons: the view, the fireplace, and the hot tub. Our plan was to spend all 4 of our days watching movies, relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying the view, and spending time together as a family. We had zero intentions of ever leaving the cabin, due to the amenities and our plans of relaxation. We ended up spending the majority of our time outside the cabin because nothing was working as planned. It was dirty, the hot tub did not work, the fireplace was unable to be used due to the wire covering being completely bent and unable to get into safely, the beds were terribly uncomfortable, headboards aren't even attached, sheets don't stay on, and the furniture is ripped and old. The sinks, toilet, fridge, microwave, stove, and shower are clean but be careful of the hot water. We burned our hands and had to be careful in the shower as there is no hot water regulator and the water gets beyond boiling hot. There was dog food under the stove noticeable from the living room, the cabinets are chewed up near the bottom in the bathroom, the carpets are very old, and we found a children's stuffed animal next to the bed in the guest room indicating it hadn't been cleaned hardly, if at all. The closets have things in them and the dresser in the bedroom is broken. We had so many issues with the technology. The ports are rusted on the TV and we were unable to connect our PlayStation to watch movies, the DVD player is advertised as a DVD player, not a blue-ray player so none of our DVDs worked anyway, the cable coming into the TV had tons of lines through the picture until we called maintenance to try to fix at least that so we had some form of entertainment during our stay. He changed the cables in the living room and reset the box and that did clear up that issue. We travel a lot and we were less than satisfied with this cabin. We have been working with management to notify them of our stay issues. They seem to be working on the problem with the cabin owner to correct these issues for future renters. On the flip side, the view is beautiful but absolutely not worth the price we paid, especially since nothing else we planned on utilizing was functioning. If you're looking to stay, bring your own sheets, extra towels (when the hot tub is working again), an extra lawn chair or two for the deck, house shoes if you don't want to walk around on the carpet, and blankets if you're looking to be cozy. Do not bring more than 4 people here. The bathroom is extremely small and the sitting arrangements cannot hold more than 4 people in the living room. The cabin has great potential but needs a lot of money put into it to be in better shape for renters. One last thing, please do not bring anyone who has trouble with mobility here. Getting up to the stairs is a hill with no safe place to walk if it is muddy, the first step is very steep, and the bathroom is not at all friendly for someone with mobility issues. I think in the future, this cabin will be great once the issues are addressed, but for now, find a different one to rent for your current plans.

The view was the best part. But we found hair and pills in the sheets. Hot tub didn’t work and hair shot out of the jets when trying to get it to work. The toilet had not been cleaned. Coffee in the coffee pot. Furniture was falling apart. Stains on the floor and sheets. The blow dryer was the oldest blow dryer with dust and bugs all around it. Piece of carpet cut out of the floor. Vent registers were rusty and nasty. Blinds had bugs and caked on dirt. We were miserable the first night there. Musty moldy smell through out the cabin. We ended up calling to be relocated as we were not about to stay there another night and wouldn’t had stayed that one night if we could’ve have reached someone. We couldn’t get a call back from this company to get us relocated. We called 7 plus times to get help. Due to the remote location of our stay. Cell service was not the best so to get us relocated was extremely painful as we waited from 7:30am-2:30pm. We literally sat in our car in a parking lot waiting for your team to call us but the wait ruined a whole day of our trip. We will be sending the 30 plus pictures taken of the nastiness via email. Would love a refund back for at least the horrible nights stay at the Almost Heaven Cabin.

The view was spectacular. That’s pretty much the positive. The carpet was nasty in LR and bedrooms. We couldn’t have a shoes off inside. The linoleum was worn out, the hot tub un-usable. We covered furniture with spare sheets to feel at least a little comfortable sitting in them. Again, the view was one of the best we have had.

Cabin is almost in disrepair. Hot tube does not work, porch is being pulled down because of the weight of the hot tube. Sheets were not washed. Furniture was old, uncomfortable, and falling apart. Cabin leaked and door would barely lock… either pay a little more and go somewhere else, until the company fixed this cabin, do not stay here….
