Magical stay in Lapland

The cabin was amazing with excellent facilities. There are even Reindeer hides to sit on at the outside fire. Easy walk to town and slopes, which we did not do at -35deg! Good cooking facilities including a dishwasher with tablets provided. Sauna is amazing. We were able to see the Northern Lights twice from the property, including from the upstairs secondary bedroom. A magical stay!

We paid the extra for linens as it was not feasible to take our own. We only found out the cost after booking, it is not listed anywhere. (22 Euros/per person/per stay). On arrival, all the linens were there but we had to make the beds. To Australians the way they make their beds is strange! I messaged the host to explain to me how it worked, kinda funny. She was great in getting back to me quickly with instructions. I do feel for the extra price that the beds should be made for you. We arrived late and was inconvenient. That is the only complaint!

Lovely and cosy house for family. Great location, only 3 minutes drive to the supermarket.

Sheets and towels are not provided unless extra costs. Need to clean up otherwise extra cleaning fee too.

A wonderful stay

The property was spotless, and it had everything we needed. The location was brilliant (although initial thoughts as we drove past the Kmart was it was much further than it actually is). Communication was brilliant. We would absolutely (hopefully) return.

Hard to pick something; not really negatives but somethings for guests to think about: remember to buy toilet roll at K-Mart and if you have mobility issues the wooden stairs are not for you (they are more like ladders). The mattress downstairs is a bit soft/dented.

Close to Pyha national park, cottage has some issues

Close to Pyha national park. Big cottage with all facilities.

Lots of other houses around and very close to each other. You do not experience the real silence of nature here, which is a pity. No place to wash your face, shave etc, except in the toilet, which is very small and inconvenient. The stairs are very steep and slippery.

Great cozy place!

We stayed here for two nights only, as a break in our Campervan trip to wintery Finland. The place was so cozy, warm & charming! Sauna, chimney, beatiful interior full of warm lights - all of that created amazing athmosphere. The kicksleds were a cool bonus, that gave our kids (and ourselves) a lot of fun!

Not much to improve, but if we were to name any then: WiFi was rather weak & plates and cutlery were just enough for 4 people, but could be an issue if we would come in 8 people (as we planned initially).

nice location, spacious house, easy check-in. the house itself is nice, with comfy beds, nice bathroom and sauna. it’s in the forest and as it was polar night, we weren’t that concerned about getting any sun 😀😀

Enchanting chalet in the snow

The house was very clean and cosy, exuding the charm of a small wooden house in the mountains, surrounded by snow. Quiet and very atmospheric neighbourhood. The kitchen well equipped and super appreciated the possibility of having a bonfire in the garden as well as the sauna. Highly recommended

Beautiful and cosy place in lovely Pyhätynturi

Location is perfect, couldn't be any better. Communication like a breeze. The atmosphere is amazing and made us want to stay longer but unfortunately have to come back to work. Sauna was great and the fire place makes the stay much more charming.

After reservation we recieved message from the owner, that we have to self clean the cottage. It was not mentioned before booking on the house rules.

Cabin included all needed accessories. Lot of room to stay with family. More beds than needed. Well renovated and all working well. Amethyst mine in Luosto is worth visiting. I recommend renting e-fat bikes, lot of nice tracks nearby.

When in Pyhä, Berry is the place to stay.

The cabin is perfect for groups of 6-8, but we had not trouble what so ever even with 10 persons. The cabin is incredibly well-equipped and clean and we lacked nothing. We skied to the slopes every day, about 5 minutes trip. The host is extremely helpful and took great care of our needs both before and during the trip! 100% recommend!
