Nothing - all perfect.

I choosed the camp by cheerful feedbacks about the owner, and that was an absolutely right decision. Husam was 100 percent welcoming and friendly. And his son did a great job with jeep tour for us - that was an outstanding experience. I wish all the best for the team of this camp. The camp is located under spectacular lofty rock and not that far from the road and civilization, but honestly I don't see any reasons to drive deeper into the desert to have a sleep. It is better to explore it in tour in the daytime.
Rooms are quite simple

The hospitality of husam and his stuff was something unique, the location and peace of the place was amazing as the installations, food and services. If you're looking for a place in Wadi rum don't hesitate, book a room and talk with husam to arrange all the details.
Everything was superb.

Hospitability should precede this place's name. The owner picked us from pretty far to bring us to the location - which is at a couple of kilometers or so from an accessible road - and he greeted us us with warmth, complimentary water and drinks. By the way, Arena Desert Camp has a spectacular position and so it is, actually, the whole area of Wadi Rum protected zone: unearthly beautiful, magnificent. He offered us a trip (paid, of course) into the desert, either the evening we had arrived or the next morning. Then, the dinner (also paid - not at all expensive) given in a nicely decorated hall was delicious and with an element of surprise (I'm not gonna spoil it); the breakfast was also yummy (included in our package). The next morning he took us back to the pick-up point and made the arrangements himself, by phone, with our friend who'd come to pick us up.
In all honesty, the place is a bit shabby, but I didn't mind it at all. I came with no expectations related to the accommodation and that would have been the least of a complaint. The problem was (and I acknowledge it was MY problem only) that I expected to find here an oasis of silence and peace. Well, after a long and exhausting day at Petra, once I had arrived here I had a shower and I was enjoying the complimentary tea in the sunset when, to my big bad surprise, they started playing a deafening music on a cacophonic speaker. I tried to find refuge into my "room", but since there are no real walls, I hoped I would soon fall asleep and get rid of the folklore, Arabian music (or the like - might have been J.S. Bach, but at that volume I would have hated as well). Luckily and happily I fell asleep and I prayed God that the silence I found when my husband woke me up for the dinner will stay with us. It stayed indeed and I have enjoyed the yummy food, then I just had ordered a shisha - unfortunately couldn't undo this - when THE BLOODY PARTY STARTED. Same kind of music, same poor-quality speakers, same howls and shouts (this time from a live band!), all of these "crowned" by all the guests - chanting and applauding - but me. I took my shisha, I ran to my "room" - chased by a guy of the staff who made sure I wouldn't take it inside (didn't mean doing that in the first place) - and sat down on the stairs hoping it would stop soon and my shisha would finish sooner. Bad luck, they didn't cut it at 10 PM, neither 10:30, nor 11 (!), but somewhere to the midnight, to my despair and deep disappointment.
