About this house rental
Welcome to Croft Cove on Lamoka Lake! This comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps 8 people and is just the right size for that perfect week or weekend on the lake.
This home has rich family history for multiple generations and has been updated to be a quaint and cozy lake house. Located along a laid back lake road and in a small lakeside neighborhood, this spot is exactly what you would think of when you imagine a lakefront community.
The house has a deck that wraps around the house and overlooks the lake. Walking in from the main entry on the side of the house, you'll enter the large living room area with windows that overlook the lake, comfortable couches, and plenty of space to play games or watch tv.
The Kitchen and Dining area are tucked behind the living room and the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, appliances, etc. The Kitchen has the cutest little coffee nook where you can brew your favorites. The Dining area is part of the kitchen and has sliding doors out onto the deck where you can enjoy your meals al fresco at the outdoor dining table or grill your favorite meat on the gas grill. The deck has a seating area as well and is that perfect spot for that cup of coffee.
There is a full bath on the main floor, just off of the kitchen with a tub/shower.
Upstairs you'll find the massive Master suite. This bedroom has cathedral ceilings, large closets, huge windows looking out over the lake, a small office area, a King size bed and an additional queen bed to the side of the room. This will be the room of choice for guests! There is a large master bath attached to the suite, with a big walk-in shower and a double sink. The Master suite also has it's own balcony with a set of french doors that opens out onto the balcony....the chosen spot for sunbathing or stargazing after the sun goes down.
Bedroom 2 has a Queen size bed and is just outside the hallway to the Master suite. Bedroom 3 is located next to Bedroom 2 (at the top of the stairs) and has a King size bed.
Croft Cove has about 50 feet of it's own private lake frontage with a dock that you are welcome to use during your stay. There is a firepit at the water's edge with a patio....a great spot for roasting some hot dogs or a few marshmallows with the kids.
Croft Cove is the perfect home for your weeklong vacation on the lake with family or friends, or that extended weekend getaway that you need in your life. We look forward to having you stay!
* Air conditioning is provided through window unit AC's in the living room and the master bedroom.
*A limited amount of paper towel, toilet paper, soaps, is provided for each guest.
**We ask that renters to be over the age of 25. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with the request that the renting party is over the age of 25.
**ABSOLUTELY NO pets or animals allowed at any time. Any guest found to be in violation of our pet policy will be asked to leave and/or charged an additional cleaning fee.
**No parties allowed at any time.
**Smoking prohibited except in outdoor areas.
**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times. No Exceptions. Only 8 guests allowed at any time.
**Parking for 3 vehicles only.
**Lake conditions are not guaranteed and are non refundable
**Guests are asked to initial a rental waiver, sent via email, immediately after booking
**DOCK USEAGE:
This home has a seasonal dock which is not available for use from October to Mid-May. Seasonal docks are made for loading/offloading passengers only and cannot be used to secure watercraft overnight or for any length of time.
Guest assumes liability for use of the dock and assumes responsibility and liability for damages done to the dock during their stay, whether the damage is done by their watercraft or the guest themselves.

Four high school friends stayed at Croft Cove for our Big Birthday! The location right on the lake was perfect. The beds were super comfortable and we had everything we needed fur our stay.

Our extended family trip in this home was wonderful - plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. Very comfortable beds and a fully appointed kitchen. Great location, short drive to various wineries and family fun. This was our second year coming to this home and we would happily return!

Just about everything about the property is as advertised, but there were a few things that could use replacement/fixing/updating. On the excellent front - it’s a very comfortable home and the views/location are astounding. We had a great time lounging, playing games, and enjoying the views. The kitchen is also well-stocked, and had everything we needed.
On the not-so-good side, I’d start with the water. Be prepared for a strong metallic odor. Not uncommon for well water, but it’s not something that’s very clear upfront. It would be great if the bottled water dispenser had a bottle provided. The couch in the living room also needs replacing. It sinks significantly when you sit on it and seems to have a broken support from what I can tell. The king bed in the second bedroom is also turned the wrong way so that it will fit in the room. It makes it difficult to sleep on it for someone that’s six feet or taller, as your feet hang off of the end. Another downside of the iron in the water is that the shower in the master suite just doesn’t put out enough pressure. The shower heads could use a good soaking in a CLR solution, as maybe half of the holes were clogged and wouldn’t put out water. Lastly, don’t rely on the futon in the master suite for an additional bed unless you move the cushion to the floor. It will tip over if you pull it out and try to sleep on it (we tried to put our teenager on it and had to move it to the floor).
Ultimately, this would be the perfect vacation home if a few things were updated and the situation with the water was made clearer upfront.
