About this house rental

Discover the Charm of Le Pressoir: Nestled in Les Coindries Cottage and Gites, this unique property was once the site of the original wine press. The gite boasts a living room with authentic beams/timbers, featuring a sofa that effortlessly transforms into a cozy double bed. Enjoy modern amenities such as satellite TV, Internet access, and a single UK power point/USB. The open-plan kitchen, equipped with a small oven, microwave, fridge, and dining area, offers convenience on the ground floor where you'll also find a shower room, toilet, and a heated towel rail.

Ascend to the mezzanine floor, where historic elements shine—revealing the original cattle manger and showcasing unique beams. Here, an airy double bedroom welcomes you with a period French double bed, fitted wardrobe, and chest of drawers. Step out to a small terrace at the front, providing a delightful space to unwind with a drink or utilise the BBQ, all set against the backdrop of the property's original stone floor. Le Pressoir offers a blend of history and comfort in the picturesque.

Les Coindries.Les Coindries can be found 7km south of Richelieu - famous for its Cardinal of the same name the most powerful man in France during the reign of Louis XIII. The Cardinal spent his early life at the beautiful (though now partly ruined) Chateaux de Coussay and later building a magnificent palace and town of Richelieu. The great palace was later demolished, but the huge park remains including the moat and island on which the Cardinal first built the palace. The park is a wonderful place of a walk or bike ride at anytime of year. This little known citadel is an architectural jewel of France and can be reached in 10 minutes from Les Coindries.
