Very clean/immaculate. Excellent Hosts. Great location. Bed was extremely comfortable. Well equipped. Nice welcome touches. I would definately use again and recommend to friends.

Took a while for electric heating to make a difference. I did lite the wood burner.

Wedding stay.

We found the lodge, to be clean and well positioned, near to the town and all the shops.

Unfortunately, the lodge is situated on a very steep driveway, and the stairs inside the lodge were also very steep, which was a challenge, because i am disabled. It was also very cold in the lodge, even though we had both heaters going. There was a log burner, but there was only 3 logs and a few sticks of kindling and fire lighters provided. And it was £8 per bag extra, if you wanted more.

A great lodge and place to stay to explore Newcastle Emlyn and the surrounding area. Perfect.

Property has great access into town on foot and was quiet. Whilst the lodge is relatively close to the owners house, it is far enough away and you are left alone and not overlooked.

Absolutely perfect, and we would love to come and stay again.

It was in the perfect location for visiting our son and family. It was a haven of comfort and cleanliness and everything we needed for a relaxing stay was there.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property… Just that we didn’t spend as much time there because we were with Family.

The lodge had everything you needed, it was immaculately clean, incredibly comfortable, I could not fault a thing. We wanted to stay longer to be honest but we didn't have enough time but we will 100% book here again if we are back in the area.

A great option for staying in Newcastle Emlyn

We had a wedding to attend in Newcastle Emlyn, a place we'd never visited before, so decided to make a mimi break of it. The Lodge is very convenient for walking into town and to the castle. The new hosts (who had very recently taken over) were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. The bed is massive and super comfy and the whole place is very clean and tidy. The only negative was the very steep stairs, but Jez the host, explained plans to rework these in the near future. Other than that, it was a very pleasant place to be and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in and around Newcastle Emlyn. Thoroughly recommend Y Sgwar for a drink in the beer garden and Moes Spice and The Bunch of Grapes for food.

The only negative was the steep staircase, but Jez the host explained plans to address this in the near future.

A very comfortable stay.

The bed was lovely, big and very comfortable. There is a door to the outside from the bedroom for a BBQ area and another seating area so you can find the sun or just relax. Having a toilet upstairs was great as the stairs are a bit steep for a "middle of the night calling". The downstairs shower was a good size and the shower room easy to use. The kitchen had everything you would need for your stay and they thought of every eventuality for comfort. The day we arrived it was very warm but there was a large fan to help you cool down. If the weather turns cool there is a gas heater and a fireplace to warm you up. You are within easy walking distance of several pubs, shops and places to eat or get takeaway. I really liked using a lockbox for the key as you could leave the key there when you went out so you had no worries about loosing it. The price of the accommodation was very good when compared to other accommodation. This is the sort of place I would stay again.

The only issue we had was the driveway. However, the people who own this property have only just moved in and are in the process of getting the driveway resurfaced so I don't think it will be an issue for much longer. Even so it would not stop us from staying here again.

Only one small detail I wish there was a mirror close to a plug for hairdryer etc but no big issue really.

Overall it was a good stay.

It was close to Town and Bus stop.

The Stairs were dangerous. It appeared that they had been put on either back to front or upside down. How they were signed off by a Health and Safety official is beyond me 🤷🏻‍♀️ He must have been Numpty number two. The fabric of the seats needed steam cleaning and the Cushion covers and chair throws needed washing.

It was perfect for my needs, although downstairs is compact as the photos show, lovely and modern, very clean with lovely surprise extras such as the breakfast goodies left!

A perfect place thats quiet and parking and so near to town

The design of the layout of the lodge was very well thought out and the added bonus of an ensuite. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lodge had more than enough heating. Richard the owner greeted us on arrival and departure and wanted to ensure everything was right for our stay and he was so pleasant. So near to Newcastle Emlyn where there are many pubs, different variety of restaurants and shops and the locals are so friendly and made us welcome.

Loved the location and the cleanliness of the place and the special touches of bread, eggs, milk etc; that is supplied. Everything you need is available. And if you need anything host's are willing to help. Also a book has all the info in it you need

I will be going back

The location is great as it is only a short walk into the town. The little extras like the local milk, different coffee options and some free range eggs made a massive difference. The log burner is so lovely and warm. Our stay was so relaxing which is just what we needed. This is our 2nd start at the lodge and we will definitely be going back

To be ultra picky the shower wasn't great and lacked any real power. That's me looking for something negative to say though

The Lodge was exceptionally clean. It's in an ideal location for us as we were visiting my mum who's only 15 minutes up the road. The owners put so many goodies in there for us coffee, milk, bread, welsh cakes & lots of breakfast cereals. We had a lovely stay. We have stayed in many places around this area over the last 20 years & The Lodge has definitely been the best.

There is nothing I can comment about here. The accommodation exceeded my expectations.

comprehensive facilities, great for family. lovely welcome and provisions made it easier to settle and get out.

Minor issue was difficulty was steep stairs, but we coped.
