    The hotel is older but well maintained and very clean, the surrounding grounds are very lush and beautiful - we even saw a mother deer with her foe on our morning walk . Because it is located in the midst of Hallasan National Park area - so it is much more convenient if you drove - which we did. Dachae serves up very good korean cuisine for the evening too. We booked for a aqua calming session and that was very theraputic.

    I arrived early in the hotel after an overnight flight. When I made reservation for the hotel room, I have checked the hotel facilities and was expecting to enjoy some of those with a fee before I can check-in at 3pm. I was only told in the reception that the spa and rooftop restaurant were not in operation, no yoga class available, and the only restaurant in the hotel was not open to guests for lunch untill 2 due to a group event booking……the reception staff was not being helpful on this. Instead of recommending other available facilities, or the shuttle bus to the city to spend the morning, or even just a corner in the hotel that I can stay in, he only wanted to stess that the room is not available untill 3 (which I was aware and clear about), and impolitely asked me what did I want. I ended up spent the morning in the hotel cafe (which in my opinion is the only good place in the hotel, with good matcha drinks served and friendly staffs proficient in English). In general, the hotel facilities were old, location far from city centre (though this is a prerequisite for resort, one can never get a taxi via k-ride from the hotel, and the only way to call a taxi is via hotel staff, and with an additional fee payable to the taxi drivers). The natural environment is nice as well as the matcha cafe, but the shortcomings of the hotel are obvious and not value for money
