Everything else. Host accommodated late check in. Room was perfectly suitable for our one night stay.

Nothing - if I had to say anything it would just be no lift to the room, but that's just me being lazy.

Strict timelines on check in. No late check ins allowed which made us to book separate hotel for our first day’s arrival as we were reaching after 8pm

Wonderful location and very comfortable stay!

The apartment itself is nice. The location is great, right in city centre. with restaurants, super market (Aushan) just around the corner. A cafe for nice breakfast & brunch is just two doors away.

The way I was treated! I had a late evening arrival. Only two days ahead of my travel, I received a message from the management of this apartment asking for arrival time. Being just recently bereaved with my elderly mother's passing, I totally didn't have the head spacet to think about this visit in Porto that my friends organised 5 months ago. However, usually I would get the prompt from the owner a week ahead. However, upon my reply of my flight information, they just asked me to cancel the booking as they said the check-in is up to 8 pm only. I couldn't believe this: Where could I find suitable accommodations last minute? Also, I specifically checked the Q&A section before I booked and saw that people asked for late check-in, and the reply was no problemthat it could be arranged. I don't mind paying extra for late check-in, but a point blank denial of my akready paid booking (I remember it was also non refundable when I booked online) last minute was just unacceptable, and it never happened all these years of me using Booking.com. The tone of message was not friendly, to say the least and I was told off that I should have provided the arrival time when I booked this accommodation. The management of this property really should think of self check-in as a way going forward, and invest in a small key safe for people to pick up their own key by emailing the codes, just like so many other property owners did. In today's day and age, flight delay or uncontrollable events such as strikes and extreme weather, can be more and more common, even with best planning and intention, things did happen. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, even afterwards a work- around was evwntually found, i.e. for someone to pick up the key at 3 pm punctually, on my behalf. It just so fortunate that they already arrived in Porto the day before. Otherwise, I would be left with no refunds nor a roof above my head in a foreign city.
