About this house rental
Summary:
The Hippie Shack is hidden on the Costa del Sol, Spain. From Maro to Marbella you won't find another stretch of beach this untouched by development. If you're looking for a funky escape pod where you can disappear, enjoy food cooked over a wood fire, cold beer or wine with the sun on your face and toes in the sand, then this hideaway is your spot. Beware, this is not for everyone. All-inclusive it ain't. Please be aware that there are dogs, chickens, and goats about.
The Space:
The house is made up of a living/dining/kitchen area, a bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. There is also an enclosed patio off the kitchen. The real star is the beach. Our section of beach, due to little or no development, is very relaxed and quiet. Our little alleyway is guarded by our neighbors two dogs. They may bark at you the first one or two times you walk past but ignore them and they will stop. Once they know you they won’t even bother. Please understand that this is a rural environment with chickens, goats, and dogs about.
Guest Access:
This is your house for the duration of your stay. Our goal is for you to come back and consider it your hideaway on the costa del sol.
The Neighborhood:
We are in a hidden beach community called el Hornillo. Whether you stay for a few days or a few weeks you will instantly feel like a local.
Getting Around:
The best way to get to us is either car, motorcycle, or bus. It’s about a 200-300meter walk from the bus stop. You can also walk down the beach from Torre de Mar.
Once you are here most everything is walkable. The grocery is about a 10 minute walk away.
Other Things to Note:
As mentioned, our neighborhood is quite bohemian and agricultural. The neighbors have dogs, chickens, and the odd goat. At times they make a bit of noise but we have installed an air-con/heat unit so the windows can be closed if the “locals” get noisy ;)
Interaction with Guests:
Rosa is only a phone call or WhatsApp away. She is not an on-site manager however so it may take him a bit to get to you but is very responsive.
