Very comfortable space with beautiful views, but the cleanliness could use more attention

We liked the view off the balcony and the bonus of a king bed in the bedroom and the washer and dryer in house.

The cleanliness of the unit definitely needs improvement. The walls had dried food or drink stains, and the living room blinds were also stained when we pulled them down at night. The hardwood floors didn’t appear to have been mopped in quite some time—after just 10 minutes of walking barefoot, our feet were black, and even with socks, they became dirty right away. In addition, there was no cleaning spray provided to tidy up after meals or cooking.

A comfy respite after a busy day, with an awesome view!

The view was incredible. The king bed was very comfortable. The space was very cozy.

The pullout was a bit finicky. My brother in law said it was ok to sleep on but my sister had tried it and wasn’t so sure. She slept with me in the king and had a great sleep though!

Pull out couch was not the comfiest. Feet were elevated as the head side sinks quite far down. Fine for one night but might be worth looking into!

Very well appointed location and great apartment with every comfort provided.

We loved the apartment and Port Renfrew so much that we booked an extra night at this lovely apartment. Unfortunately, doing this through Booking.com incurred a second significant cleaning fee, which was not needed and regretfully hasn't been refunded so far

Meh, wouldn't go back

View is nice.

The property is a tired and starting to look dirty. Possibly it's because we stayed at the end of Sept after a busy season but the unit was dusty, there is a huge dust web hanging from the ceiling between the living room and dining room. The tub doesn't drain properly so you are ankle deep in water by the time you are half way thru your shower. There is only one towel rack in the bathroom, so very limited space to dry your towels. There was extensive dog hair on the blankets supplied in the living room and on the balcony, they mention the unit is pet friendly but clean up after the previous visitors with hairy dogs. Condiments in the fridge are expired. No dish rack to dry the dishes and a no proper scrubby to wash dishes, only a white hand towel that you would normally use in the bathroom. Their website mentions "We are also keen to highlight the work of local artists" this is in no way evident in the few pictures on the wall which were all crooked. Parking is very strange in front of the unit, there was another car parked half way in front of the unit as they must have been confused as well. While the view is nice, it doesn't make up for the things that are lacking or dirty.

West Coast Paradise

Beautiful! And well equipped. The view was stunning. Loved relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine and watching the boats and the mountains. Quick drive to the Renfrew Pub and the Juan de Fuca trailhead. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place to reconnect with family and nature

Our family of four stayed only one night, but we absolutely loved this location and property. We watched a family of bald eagles hunt in the straight right behind our balcony, and witnessing the fog roll in and out was breath taking. Every detail was accounted for, and my son especially loved the soda stream machine! We were a very short distance from Botany Bay, and there were many cute eateries in Renfrew. We could walk to get coffee! We wish we could have stayed longer. The sofa bed was very comfortable, and the king sized bed and tub were divine after long chilly hikes on the beach. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus after traveling like nomads for two weeks. The entire community was having wifi/cable issues, so make sure that you download all instructions/maps/itineraries before you get there, and screen shot the code to get into the property! I won’t even knock off a star for that because the whole point of going to places like Renfrew is to get away from it all. We achieved just that.

Great location. Very clean. Washer/dryer. Beautiful view from the back. Construction going on in the front, but not an issue at all. Kitchen well appointed

Not much “drawer space” for clothes not needing to be hung and exactly where to park wasn’t clear, but all in all it was an excellent location. Would revisit for sure.

Love the view from this property which looks right down onto the marina where we kept our boat. Super view of the bay!

While the unit is perfect and super comfortable there is still a little bit of construction behind the unit. It was just a challenge to keep out feet clean after it rained, small inconvenience for a perfect week in one of the most beautiful places I’ve been.

We ran out of toilet paper and tried the store, gas station, and campground and couldn’t find any so you really have to be prepared to go there. The wifi was only good in the dining room area so both my partner and I needing wifi for meetings was not great

Average accommodation, great location, overpriced.

The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The bed was comfortable.

This accommodation was not worth $500 per night. The property felt sparsely furnished. There were no "extra touches" which I would expect from premium accommodation. The walls had scuff marks in the living room and the lock on the front door did not work properly. It wasn't terrible by any means but if you're looking for a luxurious experience, you won't find it here.

Excellent location in Port Renfrew

Wonderful stay in the downstairs of a double unit newly built in Port Renfrew. Great view over the inlet and harbour, with blankets provided to sit on the private patio overlooking the ocean. Loved the sound of the waves. Exceptionally clean with new fixtures and furniture. Comfortable bed plus new pull out sofa and great pillows. Good wifi which is important in a no phone signal area. Owners reply promptly and support the Ancient Forest Alliance with every booking. We visited Avatar Grove and it made a great trip!

We brought a special bottle of wine to celebrate but unfortunately the corkscrews went missing. The sheets are top quality but I’d suggest fluffier towels as part of a luxury rental.

Smoke and mirrors

Being a brand-new suite, it was like staying in a tri-plex row house in the city where you find modern appointments and appliances, and being on a hillyou have a nice partially open view of the bay almost out to the mouth and sunset.

The property is not what it sounds like. It is not a beach front property, nor a holiday home but a basement suite in a quadplex. The terrace is a below ground porch off the front door at the entrance to the 14 or so side by side quadplexes. Being the basement suite in a wooden construction you have all the sound of the people in the suits upstairs walking with whatever else they do. The road in is steep and gravel. Being that it is still under construction in 2020 we had to listen to the construction workers stereo from 10 am till 6 pm every day whenever we wanted to go outside on the deck to relax. I find the information about his property to be misleading intended for people that may not have been to Port Renfrew in the past and done in such a way as to make you think you are getting something that you are not. Being someone that has been to Port Renfrew several times, if you are looking for the Wild West Coast experience that most people coming are THIS IS NOT IT!
