Comfy and cozy

Staff were extra helpful and friendly. Room decor was very homey with quilt and fascinating wood tables. Trees outside back window added privacy Was quiet fir sleeping too

Our only issue was room ac/heater which was quite loud so we turned it off and were fine

Hidden gem of Enterprise/Joseph!

Pictures don’t do it justice. The place is in a perfect location to Joseph and Enterprise and an EV charger. The owners are amazing and helpful. Free breakfast was a nice treat too!

Lovely beds, great pillows, and clean!

The beds are the most outstanding factor combined with the cleanliness.

My biggest grip is a 10 am checkout with them pounding on your door at ten telling you that you need to leave. For the price of a night's stay, 11 am checkout is far more reasonable.

The breakfast was ideal for the size of lobby. They were items that were easy to take in the car. Most people like getting on the road so a sit down breakfast is not always better.

The homeless vehical parked below the viewless back window. Thankfully they moved on.

Met my needs perfectly.

From the moment I arrived, I was treated like royalty. I was even changed into a room that was far easier for me to access. The room was clean, well appointed, quiet, and very comfortable. I was given excellent travel advice and offered options, depending on my interests.

The room was very clean and smelled nice. The staff was very nice. We stayed 2 days and was told up front that the staff would not mess with the room but if we needed anything just ask. They did just that. The breakfast was mostly pastries which was okay for us. The a/c felt nice. The bed was just a little uncomfortable but that could be because nothing is ever like home.

Good place to stay!

I just wrapped up a 9-night stay at the Ponderosa Motel in Enterprise, Oregon, and I’m honestly impressed. The rooms are spotless, roomy, and thoughtfully laid out—plenty of outlets, comfy beds, and big windows that let in that beautiful Wallowa Mountain light. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work; everything—from the fresh towels to the perfectly made bed—was hotel-chain crisp but with that independent-motel warmth. Location is another win. You’re seconds from downtown Enterprise, a quick drive to Joseph, and practically at the doorstep of Wallowa Lake and the Eagle Cap Wilderness. After day of exploring, coming back to a hot shower and a quiet room felt like luxury. Staff deserve a special shout-out. Check-in was friendly and fast, and throughout my stay they offered genuine local tips—best coffee, even where to catch the sunset. It’s clear they care about their guests’ experience, not just the transaction. If you’re heading to northeast Oregon and want clean rooms, stellar service, and a great base for adventure, book the Ponderosa Motel. I’ll absolutely stay again.

The only hiccup was the Wi-Fi, which was spotty at times. In fairness, the front desk explained it was an ISP outage affecting the whole area, not their equipment. They even tried rebooting their system to help. When that’s the lone downside—and it’s outside their control—you know you’ve found a solid place.

Great clean safe comfy

Clean and comfortable. Mini fridge was a bit bigger than expected which helped keep our food cold. Across from the city hall and free outdoor concert every Thursday night.

The shower head was basic and didn't have an extra strong flow.

The Ponderosa is a gem of a hotel! The front desk staff are more like hosts, so very friendly and helpful. While it's an older hotel, the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable and the soundproofing is very good. I loved being able to drive right up to my room. It's a friendly hotel and we enjoyed sitting in front of our room and visiting with other travelers. Enterprise is a quaint little town and the hotel is in the middle so easy to walk to restaurants.

I wish the window would’ve had a second curtain on it… It either was a blackout curtain or everybody upstairs could walk by and see right in my room. I would’ve loved to been able to kerp the window open with fresh air, but not had a blackout curtain.
