About this chalet rental
It is seven years old, cosy with many good amenities all of which are described on this site.
The pod is situated on the shore at Haun Bay with stunning views to Uist and Eriskay's hill Ben Scrien where you will find an abundance of wildlife, including the famous Eriskay pony.
If you want to escape from the rigours of mainland life this is your haven, Haven incidentally being the Norse word for Haun.
The Island has many Norse place names as the Viking influence pervades these Islands.
Eriskay is well- situated and has a causeway which links it to neighbouring Uist and the ferry terminal to Barra.
It also boasts a well- stocked shop minutes from the pod as well as the Am Politician bar which serves tasty local seafood (please book ahead before you visit as it can get very busy).
Enjoy the fresh air and walks on the Island's beaches especially Bonnie Prince Charlie's Bay.
For a small island there is much historical interest to discover.
Do come and experience these Islands with their distinctive language, culture and traditions.
Guests should be mindful though of possible travel delays and sometimes inconveniences that can arise from visiting this isolated location. But the breathtaking scenery is always worth the visit.
If you like adventure and spectacular landscapes then this is the place for you.
