Wonderful hosts and peaceful neighbourhood.

This place is perfect if you want to visit Dublin but not live in the bustling city centre. The bus stop is hardly five minutes away, and the departures are pretty frequent. Pat and Joan are such a delight! They have such a nice home and are always willing to help if need be. The breakfast was also very nice and well-stocked with different options.

It was a bit cold, but that’s it really.

Amazing hosts, easy travel to the centre

I loved my stay at Beechtree house, Pat and Joan were so welcoming and helpful. Lots of advice, picked me up from the airport, made sure I had the right change for the bus and were always on hand if needed. Facilities were great, lovely cosy rooms. Shared bathroom but I didn't mind this. Its so much cheaper than staying in Dublin centre and is a 30-40 min bus ride directly to the centre with the stop only a 3 minute walk away. I would definitely stay again!

It was modern but homey and inviting. Nice it has its own entrance outside the home. The host had nice touches: bottle of wine with glasses, chocolate, snacks and other food items. It was comfortable.

We had a very comfortable visit in Pat and Joan's bed and breakfast!

The house was lovely. The room we rented was very nice with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had been renovated and was nice. It was a shared bathroom but this did not cause us any problems. Breakfast was good. There were restaurants in walking distance.

It was a little farther out than we expected but our hosts told us how to ride the bus which worked out fine.

It’s a gem in a residential / calm neighborhood close to bus stations. It took me maximum 40 min to get to the city.

I had the smallest room bcs I travelled solo. Otherwise, the other rooms in the house are larger. I stayed 9 nights so I had to be super organized to fit everything I carried in such small space.

Beautiful B&B

The hosts Pat and Joan were so amazing! They are warm, welcoming and hospitable. They treat you as family! The location is in a suburbs south of Dublin. It is about a 45 min bus ride to the city center, and about a 25-30 min drive (mainly due to traffic and avoiding tolls). If you have a car, it’s super easy to get to shopping and pubs. You can also take the bus to Lucan Village for pubs and smaller shops. A car is not required, they offer pick up from the airport for a fee. Look into a bus pass. Golf courses near by, for any golfers. The price is very reasonable compared to center prices. We will come back again!

Great location, good price and near Dublin!

Nice family home and great hosts! They welcomed us like good old friends and shared their knowledge of the area- great advice. They made us feel at home. Good breakfast too with many options, and a little chocolate at night: perfect.

As advertised, the bathroom is shared- like in a normal home, and it is up to the guests to leave it tidy. And some guests do not. Luck of the draw. It is shared.

Pat & Joan are wonderful people, very hospitable and welcoming. The house is great and so is the breakfast. Public transport is convenient, by bus you can reach the city centre easily. We had the best time!

P & J and son were absolutely Beautiful! Can’t say enough about their kindness and Hospitality. Lovely home and garden. Plus rides too and from airport and train station for minimal fee. Really took all stress away from our first arrival to Ireland.

Relaxing stay for visiting Dublin

Joan and Pat were really kind and helpful hosts! It was nice to chat with them and I felt really welcome in there house. Single room, bathroom and the house in general are very nice equipped and everything ist very clean. It's in the suburbs of Dublin, but the bus station to the city center is close and busses drive often. It was really nice to stay there for visiting Dublin!

Breakfast was lovely but I was expecting a traditional English Breakfast not a European breakfast. Hosts were lovely.

Friendly and helpful hosts - even when you were expecting Irish B&B, you are in for a treat. They managed to send my left -behind hand bag to the airport by taxi, at 6 o'clock in the morning. In time. Thanks so much! Highly recommended!

Quiet, comfortable place to stay that's a short bus ride from the hustle of Dublin.

Beechtree House was the perfect quiet B&B for anyone who wants to visit Dublin without being swallowed up by the noise and hustle of the city every night. Just a bus ride away from both Lucan Village and Dublin proper, Joan offered several great recommendations for local pubs and attractions to visit during my stay. She really went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and welcome, and is a perfect example of Irish hospitality. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Dublin.

Would have liked a bit more variety at breakfast, but otherwise had no complaints at all about the B&B.

Joan was so kind and wonderful. Her house was very warm, cozy and comfortable. Place was safe and quiet so perfect for holiday. There is direct bus from city center, it was comfortable to travel dublin city.

Worm welcome near Dublin

We felt at home! The hosts are really welcoming, friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was varied and complete. The area is quiet and peaceful. The bus stop is 2 minutes walk, very convenient for visiting Dublin. We couldn't have asked for a better place were starting our first holiday in Irland!

We loved the stay and we hope we can come back another time!

The experience was really nice! They provided with transport to and from the airport and on top of that a delicious breakfast with many options, so anyone eating there will be full after the breakfast! The staff is kind and helpful, so you have a great time staying there!

Everything was nice, only problem was that the room was a bit cold for a while but that was only because we didn't quite understand how the heating battery worked. So technically nothing bad since the only thing was something that there was a fix to!

Fantastic and relaxing.

Pat and Joan were lovely hosts. Pat met me at the airport which made my life a lot easier, especially after having the stress of my luggage not arriving with me. I found both Pat and Joan to be absolutely wonderful, a lovely couple. The room was just as I expected. The variety of food offered for breakfast was exceptional. Beyond what I had expected. There is a bus stop approximately 5 minute walk away which takes you into Dublin. I took advantage of this during my stay. I highly recommend Beechtree House for you to stay at.

Well! We loved EVERYTHING!!!!!! Breakfast was a feast fit for a king! The local village was amazing. Bus trip to Dublin town was easy and cheap! The bedroom was AMAZING! Biggest and most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The shower was incredible! But what made our stay superb was Pat and Joan!!! Best people we’ve ever had the pleasure to meet on all our travels! Not to mention the cake Joan made for my hubby cos I mentioned it was his bday when i booked our stay! We actually can’t wait to go back. Btw we even picked us up and dropped us back to and from the airport!!! You won’t get better than this! They will always be our friends from now on! Thanks guys. You are just GREAT!!! Xx

Cozy and well appointed spot for a relaxing stay not far from Dublin

Cosy and well appointed room with garden acess. Quiet neighborhood in walking distance of the charming village of Lucan. Easy drive in to Dublin City. Joan and Pat were excellent hosts, very personable and accommodating without being overbearing at all. Absolutely would recommend and will stay here again when in the area.
