This was an exceptional hotel. Oia is a beautiful place and the Pearl of Caldera has the most perfect location with stunning views of the volcanic islands, Fira, the sea, and back to Oia itself.
We had a lovely cave room with our own hot tub. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bathroom was lovely and the sheets and towels changed every day. We had everything we needed.
Jola and the team were always on hand and helpful, but not intrusive. The breakfast was delicious. And the pool area was so cool with amazing views of the sea Santorini and the islands.
They provided a member of the team to carry our suitcase from the taxi to the hotel which featured over 100 steps. I'd have keeled over if I'd tried to donut myself, and they organised a transfer with a great driver and a smart comfortable air conditioned car.

The only minor issue is the steps to climb back up to Oia's main strip but climbing steps is a necessary part of being in Oia, and a price worth paying to stay somewhere as amazing as The Pearl of Caldera. It wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues but it was fine for us.

The views of the caldera were breathtaking. The service was attentive and Jola was very helpful setting up transfers, tours, restaurant reservations. Breakfast was incredible and terrace views were second to none. The pool was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the best of Oia away from the busy city centre. The honeymoon suite was quite private.
Getting through the crowds of bussed in tourists was overwhelming at times and made for slow going getting to and from the hotel in the middle of the day, the price you pay for staying at a place in such close proximity to coveted views and photo ops!

The location was awesome (despite many steps to get there, but well worth it), and had the most gorgeous view. There were tourists lining up to get a similar view that we had privately at the hotel, which was pretty cool. Staff were really helpful and the free breakfast had a lot of options. We really enjoyed our stay here and it’s a perfect base for exploring the island.
While the pool and pool area were great, the bar didn’t seem open (or people just weren’t using it) and the music was repetitive (though this could easily be fixed with switching up the playlists more).

Absolutely everything! The location was incredible: The most perfect views of combined landscape and seascape, within short walking distance from the main streets of Oia, including restaurants, shops, and the bus station. The room was so beautiful - the cave-like structure was so cool, the views were amazing, and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We greatly appreciated the personalized service of Jola, Fima, and the other staff: Thank you so so much for making our stay extra special!
