I wanted to visit Miyajima Island, and the hotel was very close to one of the ferries (the one that takes 45mins or so). I could comfortably go down there around 9AM and buy a ticket and then be off! The service was excellent of course. The hotel was fairly close to a lot of restaurants and shops, as well as the Peace memorial and museum.
The futon felt a bit harder than I am used to sleep on, but that's on me for not asking the hotel staff if I could get another futon to lie on. Sleeping was therefor a bit difficult the first night, but I got used to it for the second night.

It is perfectly located overlooking the Peace Park, is an easy tram ride from the central train station, and it had an authentic Japanese feel. The Onsen was well appointed, overlooking the dome. A traditional Japanese breakfast was included which added to the experience.

Location couldn’t have been better. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The window in our room rattled with the wind all night, keeping us awake for most of the night. The next day I mentioned this to staff who came to our room to try and fix it, however weren’t able to. They very quickly offered us to change rooms which we did.
Although you’re sleeping on futons, we put 2 together and it was quite comfortable.
The hotel is quite dated, but to be experiencing a traditional ryokan, in the location that it was - this can definitely be looked past.

The location is unbeatable just in front of the dome just in the area where the atomic bomb was dropped.
It’s nice if you want to sleep expirimenting the jananese style( sleep over futons).
The offer free access to the hot baths.
Tipic japanese breakfast.
