We didn’t get off to the best start with this apartment. The directions provided were unfortunately very unclear and not helpful at all. Our flight arrived early, so we ended up sitting at Bossa Beach Bar for over an hour before check-in — which, coincidentally, is exactly where the gate to the apartment is. However, Bossa Beach Bar isn’t mentioned anywhere in the instructions, which seems like the most obvious landmark to use. The key code is automated and sent at 4pm sharp — not a minute earlier. Once we received it, we then spent another hour walking around trying to locate the entrance using the instructions provided. We didn’t gain access until after 5pm, only to realise we had been sitting right next to the gate the entire time. To help future guests: the gate is next to Bossa Beach Bar and the code (sent at 4pm) is entered into one of the lockboxes there (far left box). Once inside, head right up the stairs — the property is No. 44. It cannot be accessed by car. Communication while trying to locate the property was also difficult and it took time to reach someone via WhatsApp, which added to the frustration. That said, once inside, the apartment was clean and has beautiful sea views. The location is fantastic. However, it could do with some updating. The shower head is taped up and sprays water everywhere and really needs replacing. The apartment is very basic, with two single beds that cannot be pushed together. The bathroom door also does not function properly — the en-suite door appears to be glued shut and cannot be used, which was inconvenient. You are provided with a few teabags, sugar, four coffee sachets, a bottle of water and a washing tablet to get you started, along with clean towels, which was appreciated. There is also a supermarket nearby for essentials. Parking is another issue. Despite being told parking was available prior to arrival, there is no designated parking and we had to find street parking about a seven-minute walk away.
