It offers eight private rooms of varying sizes, each with its own private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, internet, and hot water—everything you need to feel relaxed and at home while enjoying the tranquility of the mountains. From the moment we arrived, there was a feeling of peace that wrapped around us. Nestled in the lush mountains of San Lorenzo, the property feels like a hidden country sanctuary where serenity and nature reign supreme. Yet somehow, it’s still just a short drive from everything—including the metropolis of Caguas. Discovering this mountain gem felt like striking gold. But what truly makes Gavidias unforgettable is Amparo, the beautiful soul and heartbeat of the place. Her warmth is genuine, her joy contagious, and you can feel the love she pours into every detail of the experience. She doesn’t just host guests—she welcomes you like family and makes sure your stay is as comfortable, peaceful, and joyful as it can possibly be. And if you are lucky enough to receive an invitation to Amparo’s Saturday dinner, don’t even think about missing it. It’s something truly special. She is an incredible cook who often gathers ingredients straight from her own garden and fruit trees. The food is fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious—flavors that feel deeply connected to the land around you. Sitting there, enjoying a home-cooked meal made with such care, you realize it’s more than dinner… it’s an experience. Places like this are rare.
