Great hotel with great staff

What an incredible hotel, brilliant location, despite being next to a single track railway, which you couldn't hear from your room. A female member of staff greeted us (sorry didn't get her name) and she couldn't have been more helpful. By paying the tourist tax entitles you to a travel card that allows you to travel by rail or bus anywhere for free even into Switzerland there are some obvious restrictions but we used it to jump on the train and head into the hills of the black forest, what a view all thanks to the kind member of staff who explained it all and even sorted out the train times. Will definitely be going back and spending more time there.

This isn't a dislike but more of a " be aware of" if you decide to eat in the hotel restaurant then be aware that you may have a wait to get your food, this purely due to the popularity of the venue. Breakfast is great but not buffet, they do ask what you prefer, muesli, yogurt, rolls cheeses, meats and hot eggs and bacon. Very good coffee.

We had to wait for hours because the reception was not open when we arrived. Luckily, we could leave our luggage at the tourist office next door.

Perfect Stay!

We absolutely loved staying at The Bahnhof. The rooms are amazing; spacious, modern and super clean. The beds are comfortable and the walk-in shower a dream. Breakfast is good and plenty of it. The staff helpful, friendly and provide a fantastic service. Great location too; just across the road is the pedestrian area where the shops, cafes and restaurants are. We will definitely be back.

The room was well laid out, modern, clean, and sympathetically design in keeping with the Railroad/Industrial theme. The beds were super comfy. The staff was very friendly, and the location is great jumping off point for the region. Food, the breakfast was one of the best we've had. The restaurant has fantastic regional specialties, masterfully delivered.

Amazing hotel, restaurant, and location

Breakfast was excellent: plenty of variation in breads and variation in cheese/meat as well. The rooms are spacious and neatly designed with a very calm but luxurious atmosphere. The bathroom is massive, has a good shower, and a wide sink. Rooms are clean and well-maintained, and properly cleaned every day. The location is supreme: in the centre of Oberkirch with access to parking spaces and directly next to the train. The restaurant in the hotel is also strongly recommended. Some other random good points: stable, fast and free WiFi. Parking included with the hotel on a nearby P+R (2 min walk). Lovely sitting area outside the room with some books and games.

There are some light noise complaints from passing trains - but that's entirely expected from the location. Breakfast did not have variation, so it got a tad predictable after 5 nights; it's still excellent though. Bathroom did not feel very private, but you are able to close shutters, which sadly also blocked out any natural light.

breakfast was fine, but we haven't been offered eggs by our 1st breakfast, and 2nd & 3rd well, so the service is not standard; also we were offered 2 bottles of water in our room, but 2nd day only 1 bottle was given, and 3rd day nothing, I have to go downstairs & ask the staff myself

we liked the food at Bahnhof, so we had 2 dinner there, but we realized that they have charged us too much than they should. this is a big disappointment, as we trust the hotel from beginning, but they are not honest with the restaurant bills.

Extremely nice hotel with spacious rooms, everything is thought out. Breakfast was served individually, not as a buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant. By the way, the dishes in the restaurant are also delicious. Without a doubt, this is - 10 stars.

Very clean, recently renovated railway station in a great location next to the town centre. Huge room. Breakfast coffee really good. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was served at the table rather than a buffet. The area is full of fruit farms but no fruit was provided at breakfast. Parking was not right next to the hotel, but was only 50 m away.

Toot toot, a fantastic refurbished train station

Built in the refurbished Train Station, with a railways motif runing through the place. Our room was large, well apointed and comfy. The bathroom was also large with a great walk in shower. Modern windows with double glazing kept all the noise out. The resturant on the ground floor served great food and was so popular that we had to sit on the front terrace as the terrace on the old train platform was full. Parking available. A short walk into the altstadt for other resturants (but why), pubs and ice cream shops.

Not a thing. Nothing, don't change a thing. Planning on returning.

Tolles Zimmer mit schönem Bad, gerne wieder

Die Lage des Hotels ist top, direkt am Bahnhof und Fußgängerzone. Das Frühstück war schön angerichtet und wurde serviert. Das Zimmer war modern und groß, wir haben uns wohlgefühlt

Eine Karte fürs Frühstück mit Erklärung was man bestellen kann wäre super gewesen.
