Petra Lion Hotel is a family hotel. We were offered traditional dinner prepared by the hotel owner's wife as well as takeaway breakfast boxes for our visit in Petra (at additional cost), which we all accepted. The dinner was very tasty, and the lunchboxes handy, especially if you plan on waking up very early for the Petra visit.
It's quite uphill, which was somewhat problematic on our way back to the hotel after a full day in Petra. The water in the shower could have been warmer. Some of us were woken up at 4 am by an imam from a nearby minaret, but it seems that it's difficult to find a place without such a wake up call so we didn't mind.

It's a good choice if you like kids because there are a lot of kids there, which I personally don't care about, but my partner didn't
The middle bed shakes, the other two beds are ok, but the cups are very, very dirty, the dirtiest cups I have ever seen There is no WIFI in the room, but there is in the corridor
