Clean, well equipped, comfortable

Elena was a friendly and welcoming host. She texted details to get from the airport to the apartment. She showed us around our apartment with a private bathroom and terrace as well as a shared sitting area and kitchen. It was clean and well equipped with a coffee machine, washing machine and a shared terrace. She told us about places to visit and how to get there. The location was good, 15 minutes walk to the centre of Old Town and quiet at night. Great local patisserie 2 minutes away for breakfast.
Stairs to the 4th floor were taxing for me, fine for my son. Palermo apparently suffers from water pressure problems. One evening after soaping myself, there was no water and none the next morning. I had to buy wet wipes and water to wash. Later that day, Elena replied to my text informing us of a water pump switch in the flat. The water pressure was fine after we turned it on. Elena did apologise for not letting us know earlier. Other than that, a great stay.

The host was exceptionally kind and welcoming, giving advice about getting from the airport before arrival, then offering to pick us up from the train station, then giving a thorough tour of the property. There was also cleaning between days.
The room is spacious and quiet, with a balcony area which is nice for relaxing on.
Please be aware the front door living room & kitchen & balcony area is shared with two other groups. This was fine for us; we never saw them or heard them.
